Apr. 5, 2001 - Fastpass opened for Living with the Land.
Apr. 5, 2001 – The Orlando Rays started their 2nd season of baseball at Disney’s Wide World of Sports Complex in Florida.
Apr. 5, 2002 – “Mickey’s Detective School” at the Fantasyland Theater Stage at Disneyland made its debut.
Apr. 5, 2002 – The Disney Channel Original Movie “Tru Confessions” aired.
Apr. 5, 2002 – The Disne Touchstone Picture film “Big Trouble” was released.
Apr. 5, 2005 – Disney’s On The Record (a touring musical revue) began a series of performances at the Colonial Theatre in Boston, Massachusetts.
Apr. 5, 2006 – The Walt Disney Co. introduced a wireless phone service today called “Disney Mobile” designed for children but with parents’ concerns in mind (Service will launch June 1, 2006)
Apr. 5, 2006 – The “Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique” had its official grand opening at the World of Disney Store at DTD in WDW.
Apr. 5, 2007 – The 14th Annual Epcot International Flower & Garden Festival” began featuring such stars as “Paul Revere and the Raiders” (4/5-9), “Tony Orlando in Concert (4/10-14), “The Buckinghams” (Apr. 15-18), “The Turtles featuring Flo & Eddie” (Apr. 19-21), “The Box Tops featuring Alex Chilton (Apr. 22-24), “Petula Clark” (May 4-5), “Davy Jones” (May 11-15), “B.J. Thomas” (May 16-17), “The Grass Roots starring Rob Grill (May 20-21), “Gary Puckett” (May 28-30), “Herman’s Hermits starring Peter Noone” (May 31-June 3).
Apr. 5, 2008 – The 16th Annual “Chef’s Gala” benefiting Heart of Florida United Way took place in World ShowPlace in Epcot at WDW.
