Carousel of Progress open?

We'll be back at WDW next week and I was wondering if Carousel of Progress will be open. In 8 years, it had never been open when we visited, and, thanks to our Christmas trip, we were finally able to see it. It is now my DS's favorite ride. Will we be able to ride?

It was open during the week I was there Feb. 7 - 14, and most of that week was still "value" season, when they charge less for resort stays because fewer people are there.

There really are times it hasn't been open - other than for a scheduled rehab? I thought it's been open pretty much daily for the last several years even though it's listed as seasonal. Maybe we've been fortunate as it's always been open when we've been there. It was definately open on both March 12 and 14th.

Ill be there in 2 weeks and I hope it will be open. I haven't rode it in a couple years

It was open when we were there last month. And to our surprise it had the most people we have ever encountered over the years of riding it....there had to be a good 40 or so people sitting with us! :thumbsup:

I too hope its open for our visit this September.I always enjoyed it ever since I saw the original version at the NY Worlds Fair in 1964-1965.

It's always open on a daily basis since about 2-3 years ago. No more seasonal status, and it does get decent crowds on occasion. It's a must see! 1 of the greatest!:thumbsup:

I love COP. I hope it is open when we go. It has never been closed when we were there before so hopefully we can see it again.

I'm really bummed out about the refurb. We went on CoP for the first time ever last year, and the kids really enjoyed it. We were hoping to catch it again this summer ... but apparently no go. Between this and the TTA being down, we're going to be bummed out in Magic Kingdom.

The only worse thing would be if Haunted Mansion was closed.

You know, I swear I saw earlier that CoP would be closed this summer, but I just revisited all the current refurb schedule sites and it isn't listed. I guess I just had a massive brain melt on this one.

The only Magic Kingdom refurbs for this June are TTA (which is killing me), Space Mountain and Hall of Presidents (which is killing my son, who is very into the presidents all of the sudden)
