We're planning a christmas vacation at WDW this year and have a couple of probably silly questions....

Are the park hours affected by the holidays ? ie; close early on xmas eve ? or open late xmas morning ?

It looks like MVMCP ends before the actual holiday ! Are there ongoing special events over the actual holiday dates ?

Thanks !

The park hours are affected, but the parks open earlier and stay open later. We had a great time at the Magic Kingdom on Christmas Eve. It was very busy, but everyone was happy and having a good time. It was definitely magical!

Most of the shows exclusive to MVMCP during early December, are included in regular admission to the MK during the holiday weeks.

The parade which is performed at night for MVMCP is performed afternoons during the holidays, replacing the regular afternoon parade. But expect large crowds along the parade route.

For the other 3 parks, the holiday parades, shows, and displays continue thru 12/30 or later.

As always, all info is subject to change from prior years.

Christmas time is the only time we go to WDW!!! it's wonderful:thumbsup: The parks are open earlier and stay open later, there are special parades and shows, all the parks and hotels are beautifully decorated, there's Christmas music playing everywhere!!!

The weather is great, but it also can be nippy at night or early mornings. Dress in layers, warmer in the morning, and removing them as the day goes along.

Intercot posts December park hours, including EMH attractions...check around August and they should be posted.

you're going to have a wonderul time!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

They extend park hours around x-mas because it is the busiest time of the year for them. The parks will be packed, the merriment will be poured out. You will be able to see all the entertainment from MVMCP during normal operating hours. Just expect to wait in line with lots of other jolly WDW vacationer's and enjoy yourself!

...we arrived the day after Christmas and stayed through NYE.....if that's similar to your travel plans, plan on big, big, big crowds...2.5 hour wait times for TSM, etc....we had great fun, but it was truly busy....:mickey:

i've been to disney too many times to count....last year was our first christmas vacation in Disney. I can't imagine going anyother time. You'll love it.
we will be there as well...

one tip...it can get a little chilly..even if it's nice out during the day, bring a sweater or something for the evening...
