Historically when do they start offering the free dining promotion

They've been announcing it in April the past few years. If you book through Magical Journeys they will get it for you when it's announced.

Last year we went to disney aug 24 thru sept 1 and the basic dining was free. I heard it went thru oct.but I am not sure. I hope they offer it again but I hear they won't announce it if they are having it until apr. I have 6 people in my family and It would really help.

They normally do not have free dining through October. The crowds pick up for the food and wine fesitval. Free dining usually runs through September.

True. However, last year they did end up offering free dining for select dates in October and November.

I believe that announcement came out in September. It was already past our 45 day mark, so it was a fabulous last-minute surprise!! I can only cross my fingers and hope they do it again!!

I am booking thru aaa would it be the same if they offered the free ddp or would it be better to book thru magical journeys even though I get a aaa discount?

If I remember right, one of the questions on MJ trip quot request is are you a AAA member. I could be wrong.

I haven't used either but from what I have read on here in the past, it is better to go through MJ especially when you want the free dining. They seem to stay on top of things.:mickey:

I just checked, and yes, they do ask if you are a AAA member. So I would assume MJ can get you your AAA discount.

MJ can get you a room only AAA discount- but not the package discount. Hope this helps.

When you book with Magical Journeys, we are able to apply a AAA discounts to a "room only" reservation.
We monitor all of our reservations for any future discounts and apply them automatically.
IF free dining were to come out, you would need to choose the "free dining" promo OR the AAA discount. Disney allows only one promotion per reservation. :mickey:

If you book through AAA you can change to free dining when it becomes available. Remember though it is your responsibility to ask for the change, they will not monitor it for you...

be very careful with aaa i booked through aaa and then they offered free dining i still have to pay 65 dollars per person
