Mar. 12, 1993 – Disney bought a Cleveland Radio Station WMMS-FM 101.7.
Mar. 12, 1993 – The Disney film “A Far Off Place” was released.
Mar. 12, 1993 – Disney’s Roger Rabbit cartoon “Trail Mix-up” was released.
Mar. 12, 1996 – Hazel Gilman, Disney Studio nurse and songwriter (under the pseudonym “Gil” George), passed away.
Mar. 12, 2000 – The Wonderful World of Disney aired “Model Behavior.”
Mar. 12, 2003 – The Disney Channel received 9 Daytime Emmy nominations, including 4 for “Bear in the Big Blue House,” 2 each for “Kim Possible,” and “Even Stevens,” and 1 for “Rolie Polie Olie.”
Mar. 12, 2003 – The Orlando Business Journal reported that WDW had received the Corporation of the Year Award from America’s Blood Centers in Washington, D.C. WDW was recognized for outstanding contributions in blood donations to the Central Florida Blood Bank. (America’s Blood Centers is a national organization of independent blood banks that supply nearly half of the nation’s blood supply.)
Mar. 12, 2004 – St. Patrick’s Day was celebrated , today, tomorrow, and on Wednesday the 17th at WDW’s Pleasure Island.
Mar. 12, 2006 – The Bass Nitro Fishing Excursions began departing from Fort Wilderness, Coronado Springs, and the Caribbean Beach Resort.
Mar. 12, 2007 – The Walt Disney World Animal Program welcomed the birth of a healthy baby sable antelope weighing in at 39 lbs. At Disney’s Animal Kingdom at WDW.
