We are planning on using Disney transportation to the parks, but if we decide to drive do they have a special section for WDW resort guests in the parking lots?

No, you get free parking but there is no special parking area for resort guests at the parks.

No special section. You just get a paper for your dash so they know to let you in free. Then you park and take the tram to the TTC and catch either the monorail or fairyboat.

If you have dinner reservations at another hotel and you want to take your car, can you park at that hotel?

Yes, they will give you a 3 hour parking pass.

Yep, except for the fact that there are thousands of resort guests. You be parking well away from the front anyway.

I know there is AAA Diamond Club parking but I believe your package has to be booked through AAA to qualify.

True. I'd have to ask my parking CM how many cars are in each row. If its 100-200 cars per row, then a couple thousand isn't too bad

That's what happened to us at the poly and Grand Floridian we parked so far we would have done better parking at the ticket center.
