Prayers and Pixie dust needed please

A coworkers sister and husband adopted a baby that was in their PICU. She's a nurse and he's a pediatrician. The baby, Devin, was diagnosed with Small Bowel Syndrome and became a ward of the state in 2003. Long story short, they took him home and he's had a great family. He was unable to eat or drink anything because of his bowel. A few weeks ago, he got the bowel transplant he needs to live. He's suffering now with pancreatitis but the bowel transplant is looking good. If you can send any prayers and pixie dust his way, it can only help. He has been through so much for a 5 year old and he is still amazing and upbeat. The whole family is awesome and they really deserve a break. Thanks for reading. :mickey:

We just spent almost two weeks in the hospital with my son and while we were in the PICU I kept noticing the toddler across from us never had anyone there. It absolutely broke my heart. Still does. :(

His family may have visited late in the night. When my son had to have surgery, I was going to school, working and had another toddler at home. I was with my son in the hospital at night when my ex-DH was able to be with our older son at home. I never saw the day shift crew, but the night crew was wonderful.

Devin is doing really well and starting to eat more. He's having crackers today with his Crystal Light and is going to try some meat tomorrow. Please keep praying for him, he has a long road ahead. Thanks everyone:mickey:
