Hi :mickey:

Just wondering if getting separate checks will be a problem on our upcoming trip. We are dining a few times with friends. We are a party of 7 and they are a party of 8. It is one ADR. Thanks!

It will not be a problem. There will be an 18% gratuity on both checks.

We were just down a few weeks ago with family and ended up getting 3 checks at the restaurants. I figured it would be a pain for the server, but none of them had a problem with it. We just told them in the begining when they asked if we were part of the dining plan.

It shouldn't be a problem at all.

On our last trip, we had to get 2 bills for the 4 of us, since we had two rooms and had to charge the DDP meals to the right accounts.

We are meeting friends (who live in Florida) on our next trip down. We will be on the DDP, however they will not be. It sounds like it shouldn't be a problem to have two checks? One for DP and one for regular charges?

All restaurants will try to accomodate, but some are a little better at it than others. It helps if you each sit on seperate "halves" of the table. We would sit with all the adults at one half of the table, and all the kids at the other ... which made it a little confusing.

We went last year with a party of 15, and routinely split the checks up into 3 different bills. On the rare occasions where someone got someone elses charge (usually happened with the wine, not the food), we'd usually settle it up ourselves rather than bother the servers.

As for the restaurants, we had no problem at all at Coral Reef, Teppan Edo, Biergarden, Il Mulino, Prime Time Cafe, or Mama Melroses (which had the best service of all, shockingly).

Marrakesha and Jiko both had tremendous problems getting the checks right, likely due to the servers, who both seemed inexperienced and in poor command of English.

It was never a big problem though, and it sounds like your group is a lot more manageable.
