Festival of the Lion King

My DH and I will be going to DW the first week in December and we are wondering if this show is worth seeing. We missed it the last time we were there but are considering making a point to see it.

Its one of our favorite things to do at AK, and its our favorite show of all. Love, love, love it!!! I would definitely suggest making a point to see it this time.

MY wife and I don't get to Animal Kingdom too often (we like the MK and Epcot too much), but we were visited in January with two Disney rookies and all four of us absolutely loved the Festival of the Lion King.
Disney is known for its parades and shows and FOTLK is one of the best. It's a must see at AK.

I just saw it for the first time in October...my mother-in-law turned to me at the end and said, "Did we pay extra for this?"

My daughter is a trained competition dancer we are used to seeing high quality shows, and this is a high quality show. Very entertaining, we will now do this show every time we visit.

as you can see by the other posts you should absolutely plan to see it.i agree it is a great time.i got picked to participate last time and sing w/big momma,it was alot of fun.

We like Nemo much better. FotLK is a fun show, but it is loud and overstimulating. But - that being said - I definitely think you should see it... and don't miss Nemo while you are there :mickey:

This is one of the shows we never miss when we're at Disney. It never gets old to me. I love the music, dancing, etc... This show offers a little bit of everything. :D

Amazing show. I hadn't seen it until I went in December and I was floored. It is now a must see for every trip. Well worth the time to invest in seeing it. Even my not-so-easily-impressed freind enjoyed it, and thats saying something! :secret:

Festival of the Lion King is one of my favorite shows in all of WDW. Be sure to see it. One of my other favorite shows is Finding Nemo- The Musical, so I recommend it as well if you have the time.

I believe every DW show is worth seeing at least once. But this one is definitely one of the top 2 or 3. Unless you're going at a time when the crowds that you might not get into a particular showtime, I wouldn't worry about going too early to queue up. All the seats are quite good. It's in the round and most of the action takes place at eye-level or above.

My DH is NOT a show person . . . but he insists that we see FotLK each trip. Yes, it is that good.

Now if I could get him to agree to stand in the 90-minute line for Nemo just once, I'd be in good shape! :mickey:

FoTLK is the best live show at WDW in my opinion. It is an absolute don't miss attraction. We see it on every visit to AK. There are other very good shows. Nemo and Beauty & the Beast are very good, but Lion King is at the top of the list.

FOTLK is not a must-do for us each time we visit the World. We did see it the last trip, however, and found it to be a most enjoyable show. We arrived about 20 min. early and were 1st in line @ our entrance. We had front row seats, and DH was chosen by the cast to be in the show opening, cast as a warthog!:thumbsup:

Goodness, we love this show so much. And that time of year is my absolute favorite time in that area of the park. Everything is decorated so wonderfully and they have carolers outside the show, near the snack stand. It's something I never want to miss. :mickey:

i love this show! i never miss it. i recently bought a cd of the show at animal kingdom lodge, so i can hear the show from start to finish until my next trip to see it live.

It is truly amazing that we have a topic that everyone agrees on - FOTLK is a terrific show and one you should not miss - especially if you have not seen it before. I think it's still the best show at Disney, and it's been running for many years now. It just doesn't get old, even after we've seen it dozens of times. Go enjoy it and see what everyone is saying! We just took DS for his first trip and during the planning, I told him about this show and the Nemo show. I thought he would pick the Nemo show since he loves the movie, but he decided on FOTLK.

This trip was the first time we went to see this show and it was WONDERFUL! We will never miss this show again! DS just sat in awe the entire time.
