Epcot -- Early Closing on Fridays?

I was looking at park hours for our upcoming trip, and it looks like Epcot World Showcase is closing at 8pm both 3/27 and 4/3. Does anyone know why? When it closes at 8, when do they show Illuminations?

Epcot has been closing at 8 on Fridays the last couple of months. On these nights they have Evening Extra Magic Hours. However even though they close earlier they do still show Illuminations so don't be worried about missing it. :thumbsup:

Cutbacks, cutbacks, cutbacks. They have been doing this since Jan. Everything operates the same, but does so an hour earlier than every other night. CM's get to go home an hour earlier on this EMH night, really the only difference.

According to the park schedule, Illuminations plays at 8PM when EPCOT closes to the general public at 8PM.
