Feb. 10, 1963 – The Disney TV show aired “Inside Outer Space.”
Feb. 10, 1978 – Disney released the live-action film “Candleshoe” (starring Helen Hayes and Jodie Foster) in theaters.
Feb. 10, 1980 – The Disney TV show aired “Donald’s Valentine Day Salute.”
Feb. 10, 1998 – Walt Disney Records released “Archive Collection Vol.1: Burl Ives: Chim Chim Chere,” “Archive Collection Vol. 2: Hayley Mills: Let’s Get Together,” “Archive Collection Vol. 3: Louis Prima with Gia Maione: Let’s Fly with Mary Poppins,” “Archive Collection Vol.4: Rex Allen: 16 Golden Hits,” “Archive Collection Vol. 5: Cliff Edwards: Ukelele Ike Sings Again.”
Feb. 10, 2000 - Actor Jim Varney, best known as “Ernest”, and lent his voice to classic Disney animated films, “Atlanta: The Lost Empire,” “Toy Story” and “Toy Story 2”, died of lung cancer in Tennessee.
Feb. 10, 2001 – The Disney animated series House of Mouse aired the episodes, “Timon & Pumbaa” and “Goofy’s Valentine Date.”
Feb. 10, 2003 – The “Partners” Statue of Walt Disney and Mickey Mouse were installed at Disney Studio in Burbank, Ca.
Feb. 10, 2004 – Disney’s “The Lion King 1 ½” was released on VHS and DVD.
Feb. 10, 2005 – “Dream on Silly Dreamer,” a live action/animated documentary, screens for the free in Minneapolis for shareholders one day prior to the Walt Disney Co. Annual Meeting. The film, about the creative forces behind the classic hand-drawn animated films of Walt Disney Feature Animation’s modern era, was shown at the Crown Theater.
Feb. 10, 2007 – “Kim Possible,” the animated comedy/action, adventure series from Walt Disney Television Animation, premiered for its 4th season with four new episodes on the Disney Channel.
