Hello Everybody :mickey:

We will be heading back to WDW on April 20-27, and will be staying at the Boardwalk Inn for the first time. Can anyone answer the following questions?

1) What are the best rooms in terms of view and quiet? I don't have any problem with garden/ private pool views; but I know my husband will freak if the walk to the elevator is 8-10 minutes long like some people have said! That's what turned him off from both AKL and CBR.

2)What are the crowds like at that time (right after Easter)?

3) The following will share a room: myself, my husband, my son (13) , nephew (16) and my mother (very tiny: 5'1"/105lbs or so) . I was thinking of the two boys sharing a bed, my husband and I sharing a bed, and my mother would get the pullout couch. Any opinions on that pullout couch?? Would it be big enough and are they comfortable?

4) Lastly: we just got back from a WDW trip in September 2008. Can we still use the same refillable mugs?? Ours are metallic blue/ white Disney character motiff.

Thank you in advance for any and all opinions, advice, etc! :marg::beer::cool:

As far as rooms go the Inn doesn't provide a lot of "great" views unless you pay for a boardwalk view - which can be noisy. Although the courtyard views are nice. If you are wanting to avoid the long walk down the hall then the most important thing you should request is to be close the elevator. I would request rooms in the 2266-2282,, 3261-3285, 4261-4285, or 5261-5285 section. Or the 1290-1308; 2289-2311; 3287-3311; 4287-4311; 5287-5311 section. Both will be pretty close to the elevators. Although to be honest I've stayed all the way at the end of the BWV side and the walk didn't take 10 minutes ;)

2) I'm not sure of the crowd size.

3) the daybed should be newer and comfortable for your mother. Just FYI it is not a pull out couch according to the description I'm reading on the officiall Disney site. It is a junior-size day bed - I still think you mother will be comfortable on it though.

4) Technically no you are not able to reuse the refillable mugs - they are only to be used on the trip you purchase them on. That being said - no one would really know the difference - as Jimminy Cricket would say - let your conscience be your guide.

Hi,
I usually sleep on the daybeds at the Boardwalk on our Disney Vacations. I'm 5'-1", about 115 pounds, and have always found the daybeds to be quite comfortable. Hope that helps!

We had our best vacation at Disney ever at the BWI. We loved it so much that we bought into DVC at the BWV. The room number we had was 2333. It was on the main floor, the same floor as the lobby, but it was quite a walk to the room. It took us about 3-5 minutes to get back out to the lobby. It was a walk that we never really minded since there were so many ways in and out of the resort. What we really loved was the proximity to Epcot. We could walk there in just under 10 mintues from our room. The Studios is about a 15-20 minute walk. You can take the boat but we found walking would get us there before the boat did.

Here are some pictures from our room:

As you can see we looked over a quiet courtyard. It was very nice and peaceful, we were able to sit on our balcony and not have to worry about the noise from outside. Our room was a very short walk away from the quiet pool but a long walk from the main pool as it is closer to the Villa side of the resort. There are other pictures of our room in the photo set, just that I don't know if the rooms have been updated.

The day bed, my son wanted to sleep on but never did, looked comfortable enough though.

As stated above, the refillable mugs are only supposed to be used on during your stay. The only place to really get the mugs filled is at the bakery on the Boardwalk. So you will have a little hike to get over there. If I was to do it all over , I would not get the mugs. For us it was just too big of a hassle to go down to the bakery to get them filled. On another note, there is a breakfast bar set up just off of the main lobby on the Inn side that is easier to get to but is only opened in the morning.
