has anyone done the dolphin encounter?? I would love to know everything about it!!

I did! I did it about 3 years ago. It was amazing and have so many great memories of it. I'll give you some info on what I remember from it--- In the beginning they give you a little tour of the "behind the scenes" and give you info on the dolphins (what they eat, how they train them, etc). After that, you get in your wet suits and get in the water with them! The group participating gets broken down into 4 people or so per trainer and you get to learn the dolphin commands and do them along with the trainer, pet them (the trainer even rolled them over so we could feel their heartbeat!) and eventually at the end, me and my boyfriend got a picture with one of the dolphins. I think we were only in the water with them for about a half hour or so, but it was totally worth it. The price paid was a lot, but I'm so glad that I got a chance to do this. The money you pay for this program also gets put toward the Disney Wildlife Conservation Fund.

:number1: Our son, daughter and son-in-law did the Dolphin Encounter last March and loved it. It was one of the highlights of their trip.

The Dolphin Encounter is great from what I have heard. My girlfriend and I are going with my parents in May and we are very excited to be going on the Dolphin tour with them!! :mickey:
