Haunted Mansion (not sure why but nighttime makes it different somehow:confused:)

My brother and I have viewed the fireworks while on Splash Mountain and I'll never forget the awesome view.

I think part of it (as far as BTMRR and TT go) is b/c you always feel like you're going faster in the dark. On TTA, your eyes don't have to do so much adjusting, so you see more of Space Mountain, Buzz, etc. Also, Tomorrowland is just really awesome in the dark!

Gasp! I just realized I forgot one!! I also LOVE to do Living with the Land in the dark. There's no artificial lighting in the greenhouses, so its a bit spooky but it also gives you an entirely different perspective. It was great fun :mickey:

TTA is always a must after dark. For some reason we stay in Tommorowland at night so I haven't done Splash or BTMRR after dark but they're on my to-do list for May. I'm also going to do the HM after dark since I'll be going with Dbf instead of Dsis and she won't get near the HM after dark. :confused: I also like ToT after dark.

At night we love to ride Big Thunder Mountain and the Jungle Cruise, these both rock after dark! :thumbsup:

The best ride in all of WDW at night hands down is Everest. Others that are better include TTA, TOT, Splash Mountain, BTMRR, and Test Track.

Ride a Jungle boat with no one else on it at night and all the lights off and tell me that is not one of the most scariest things in the world. Of course, as a Guest you really can't do that....but as a CM, it's kinda scary....more so because the roaches tried to eat me.

the parks after dark but the MK is our favorite.
We love to ride any of the outside rides at night

Jungle Cruise is cool at night! HM wouldn't be the same with lights. TTA through Space Mountain is great in the dark, but riding through with the lights on and seeing the SM track was very cool! :mickey:

Love them all obviously, However nothing can beat the MK afterdark. Alot of the rides are a must after dark becuase it is like a whole other ride. Even the ones that are indoors. There is nothing like walking into the Haunted Mansion after dark and leaving when it is dark. But ultimately the favorite is BTM.

While I agree most of these rides are pretty cool in the dark, I like them during the day too. The exception would be Jungle Cruise. I don't particularly care for it during the day. At night, however, I enjoy it very much.

Expedition Everest is definitely the best in the dark really just for the hill climb but I also love Big Thunder Mountain and TTA is also good.

Expedition Everest is my favorite after dark - and also BTMRR.

I just enjoy being in the parks at night though - World Showcase is probably my favorite place to be at night so that is where we usually are.

My favorite park after dark is Epcot. There's just something about Spaceship Earth illuminated in purple light that makes me smile :) I also like the sparking tiles you walk on around Innoventions.

I like riding Splash Mountain after dark at MK - especially during the fireworks :mickey:

Oh, I must agree with the comment that the MK is the best park at night.

The Haunted Mansion takes on a slightly different persona with its exterior lighting effects more obvious at night.

The Jungle Cruise is almost romantic at night.

TTA is a lovely spot to view the MK lights and the setting sun.

Splash and Big Thunder Mountains heighten the senses come nightfall. It's also fun to see the different lighting effects.

This is because it IS...somewhat. You see, when you ride it during the day you're going from a very very bright setting to a much darker setting in a very short span of time. Your eyes adjust to the darkness somewhat, but by the time they've adjusted adequately enough to take it all in, the ride has usually just about ended.

When riding at night, the light level doesn't change much and therefore it's faster and easier for your eyes to adjust to the light difference, making many of the smaller intricacies of the attraction much easier to notice. This is noticeable on many rides including Pirates, Splash Mountain, Space Mountain, and the Fantasyland dark rides at night.

See, last trip we said "oh we have to do this and this and this at night" and for some reason, we never made it! Now I am really kicking myself. IN all of the 35 trips to WDW, I have never done any of it (except Haunted Mansion on MNSSHP) at night! How is that possible!!! I have been in the Swiss Family Tree House but NOT the Jungle Cruise!!
I can't believe I am missing a whole WDW experience after all of these years. Well, after much discussion DW and I have decide to brave the 18 hour plane ride and do it all at night come Sept-OCt this year. We may even do DL at night at the end!

Tower of Terror for us. We did not really thinking about it and when the doors opened up outside, it was really cool to see all the lights and the big hat lit up. I keep thinking can we stay there for a few minutes before we kept dropping the view was outstanding! :thumbsup:

I like just about any outdoor ride better after dark, but last November, thanks to EMH, I got to ride Everest several times back-to-back at dusk and beyond. Oh man - the sunset! Plus it was cool outside. Great experience.
