Jan. 30, 1994 – At Super Bowl XXVIII (in Atlanta) Dallas Cowboys running back Emmitt Smith shouted “I’m going to Disney World!” following his team’s 30-13 win over the Buffalo Bills.
Jan. 30, 1995 - The “Circle of Life” film officially opened in the Land Pavilion in Future World at Epcot in WDW.
Jan. 30, 1996 – The “Olde World Antiques” shop closed in Liberty Square in the Magic Kingdom at WDW.
Jan. 30, 1998 – The Disney/Hollywood Pictures film “Deep Rising” was released.
Jan. 30, 2000 - The Broadband Connection closed at Innoventions East.
Jan. 30, 2000 – The halftime show at Super Bowl XXXIV in Atlanta, featured Disney’s “Tapestry of Nations.” The 20-minute performance at the Georgia Dome included Christine Aguilera and Enrique Iglesias singing “Celebrate the Future Hand in Hand.” Phil Collins entertained the Atlanta crowds with his “Two Worlds” from Disney’s “Tarzan.” Later The St. Louis Rams quarterback Kurt Warner exclaimed “I’m going to Disney World!” after his team defeated the Tennessee Titans, 23-16.

Jan. 30, 2001 - A re-master of the original sound track of “Mary Poppins” was released.
Jan. 30, 2005 – The 32nd Annual Annie Awards were presented at the Alex Theatre in Glendale, Ca. Winners included the Disney/Pixar film “The Incredibles” of Best Animated Feature, “The Lion King 1 ½” for best Home Entertainment Production, and “Lorenzo” for Best Animated Subject Short.” “The Incredibles” also won for Animated Effects, character Animation, character Design in an Animated Feature Production, Voice Acting in an Animated Feature Production, and writing in an Animated Feature Production. Disney’s “On the Front Lines” DVD won a Special Achievement Award.
