Jan. 22, 1993 - The improved “Dumbo” ride at WDW reopened with 16 elephants instead of its original 10 elephants.
Jan. 22, 1993 – The Disney/Hollywood Picture film “Aspen Extreme” was released.
Jan. 22, 1995 – Disney’s Documentary Feature film “Frank and Ollie” had its preview at the Sundance Festival.
Jan. 22, 2000 – “Mickey Mouse Works” aired on ABC-TV with the shorts “How to be a Baseball Fan” (featuring Goofy), “Locksmiths” (featuring Mickey Mouse), and “Minnie Takes Care of Pluto.”
Jan. 22, 2000 – The Disney Channel Original Movie “Up, Up, and Away,” the story of Scott Marshall, whose parents are superheroes – Bronze Eagle & Warrior Woman, debuted.
Jan. 22, 2001 - The Walt Disney Co. launched its new television series “The Book of Pooh”.
Jan. 22, 2001 - Five World War II Royal Navy bombs were detonated at Penny’s Bay, the future site of Disney’s theme park in Hong Kong.
Jan. 22, 2004 – Football’s Tampa Bay Buccaneers announced that they will hold their training camp at Disney’s Wide World of Sports Complex in WDW.
Jan. 22, 2005 – The Disney Channel aired “Dragon Breath,” the 2nd episode of the new animated series “American Dragon: Jake Long,” for the first time.
Jan. 22, 2006 – A celebrity-attended premiere for Disney’s newest “Monster’s, Inc.” attraction took place at Disney’s California Adventure.
