am i mistaken or did this used to be called teppanyaki? if so, does anyone know when they changed the name?

Name was changed during the refurbishment last year. It used to be Mitsukoshi Teppanyaki - not sure why the change, might be a corporate thing...

Most of the Japan area underwent a huge refurbishment.

I'm sure someone here will come along with greater knowledge than me! :mickey:

If I remember correctly the name was changed because the company running it changed.

this happend from summer 2007 through fall 2007. we were booked there twice the last week of September 2007 (free dining!!!) they were scheduled to reopen mid august, however it was delayed until I don't even know when. Needless to say we never got to go. We ended up eating at Coral Reef and Le Cellier instead as we originally had Teppanyaki booked for 2 dinners. We are heading down this april and once I hit my 90 day window we are hoping to book it for our Anniversary dinner!!!
