Jan. 13, 1970 - Actor Keith Coogan who starred in Disney’s 1989 film “Cheetah” and was the voice of Young Tod in Disney’s 1981 film “The Fox and the Hound was born in Palm Springs, Ca.
Jan. 13, 1977 – Actor Orlando Brown – known for his role of Will Turner in both Disney features “Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl,” and “Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man’s Chest,” was born in Kent, England.
Jan. 13, 1989 – The Disney TV show aired “Davy Crockett- Indian Fighter.”
Jan. 13, 1989 – The Disney TV show aired “Davy Crockett Guardian Spirit.”
Jan. 13, 1990 - Star Tours opened in MGM at WDW.
Jan. 13, 1993 – Disney Legend Ken Anderson passed away in La Canada-Flintridge, Ca. Often referred to as Walt Disney’s “Jack of All Trades,” Anderson worked as an architect, artist, animator, storyteller, and designer.
Jan. 13, 1998 – Disney’s direct-to-video “Belles Magical World” was released.
Jan. 13, 2001 – Disney’s “House of Mouse” debuted on ABC-TV with the episode “The Stolen Cartoons.” The high-energy “House of Mouse” opening title theme is written, produced, and performed by rocker Brian Setzer.
Jan. 13, 2006 – Walt Disney Pictures released the film “Glory Road.”
Jan. 13, 2007 – The Disney Channel’s new half-hour series “Johnny and the Sprites” debuted.
