The kids keep talking about Pooh's birthday--- they say a commercial plays on Playhouse Disney-- anyone have the details?? Will they be doing something special at DS to celebrate?? If so, when??

I just did a search for Playhouse Disney Pooh's birthday, and found some information for a Playhouse Disney stage show celebrating Pooh's birthday in Montreal. Since you're in Canada, I'm pretty positive this is what they've seen. So, no, nothing in the parks for this.
