Okay, so I was talking to my co-worker on Friday and I got a tv commercial jingle stuck in her head. So much so, that she found the song on youtube, and now I can't get it out of my head. So, I'll pass it on to you fine folks.

Who remembers the "Ideal" clothing jingle?

If you've got a passion for fashion...

Who's next?

It's not a fancy salon,
It's nothing but a quonset hut, BUT!

If you've got a passion for fashion...
... and you've got a craving for savings ...

How about:

Nobody bakes a cake as tasty as a Tastykake!!!

I love that jingle!! It's my fave!

Or also:

Kiddie City turns your frown upside-down!

(Okay, I know these are from the 80s, but that's all I got!)

Call Poplar 5-0303, you'll soon see Muntz TV.
And let's not forget "Everybody who knows, goes to Melrose."

Goodness, I married my DH in Phila. in Oct. 1970, and we lived there for 24 years. You'd think I could come up with one that wasn't already mentioned, but........
I do remember the ones posted above.:D

WHY, WHY did I just go to YouTube and listen to that! Now I will have it stuck in my head. I just couldn't remember what it was but as soon as it started I remembered. I was born in Southern NJ in '72 and moved (well... actually was dragged kicking and screamimg) to Massachusetts 20 years ago this month.

Now will someone please UPS a cheesesteak and tastycake to me ASAP! No onions on the cheesesteak please.

"the home of happy auto parts, where saving money starts...that's Jimmies' used auto parts!!"

I can vividly see the carton with Jimmy on top of a junker! And, I actually went there to get parts for my 1970 Duster (aka "the Beast").
