will my AKV dues be prorated for 2009?

I bought into AKV, which doesn't open until May. I can't even use my points until then. Will my 2009 dues be prorated for the year?

I doubt it, because there are existing DVC rooms at AKL that are available for booking now.

Are you sure you can't use your points now? I didn't know they were selling points that were specific to Kidani?

Yes, I am sure. When I called to book my developers points, I tried to borrow a handful. I was told that the points are not available for use until the building opens, even at another resort.

Oh, oh, oh ... I didn't know you were talking about developer points. Yeah, they have all kinds of goofy rules attached.

I was booking my developer points, and tried to borrow a few of my 2009 points, and they said they weren't available until May. I even asked "you say I get my points in Dec, can't use them until May, and have to decide if I'm going to use them by July?" And they said "yes, just for 2009"

We are in the same boat, we cann't use our point until June 1, 09 but I banked my points for 2008to use later in November 2009. We don't start paying our dues until June 09 and it will be full price no prorating from what i understand.

You dues will be prorated from the occupancy date of your unit in Kidani Village.
