Hello!
I am most likely going to get a room at POFQ and do the room-only option. The reason is I can get a 12% discount on tickets at work. I work for Siemens and they have a partnership with Disney. However, I must use a specific form and have to select one of their choices. We want a 7 day pass -which is on the form. I must choose either the regular 7 day pass, or pick the hopping AND Water etc kind. We really just want a 7 Day Pass and Hopping. Do you know if I get the 7 day pass - if I can add hopping to it duing my trip? According the contact lady on the form - she said no... :-(
Do most people find they really like the Hopping feature. We will be taking my 4 yr old Daughter (her first time). Going the 2nd week in Nov. 2009.
Any chance of specials for Nov. 2009 - that maybe I can skip those tickets from work and get free DIning???
Thanks!

I can't imagine not being able to park hop... People do it, but I couldn't. I think MGM is a 1/2 day park, so what would I do with the rest of the day? I can only handle so mch MK in one day, so what would I do with the rest of the time?
I'm not so sure that you can't upgrade those tickets later, but just in case, I would opt for park hopping. Water parks, ehh.. Not so much... In the 40+ trips over 15 years, I haven't set one foot in a waterpark. Too much else to do really. One of these days maybe...

We really like hopping also... worth the money to beable to do what you want. We have never done a water park though. I am not sure if you can or can not upgrade to to the hopper.
Is the 12% worth it? Can you get a better deal doing one of the Disney offerings? Just be sure to price it all out. We get a room rate through DHs work that pretty much makes any kind of deal not worth it for us. That is why we have never done the DDP. We occasionally have to re price things just to make sure. Like if you save 12%, but HAVE to have a water park option does that make the savings really 12% when you wouldn't utilize the water park?

We always park hop, but we aren't there more than 3 or 4 nights, so we park hop in order to maximize time in the parks. If we were there for a week (or longer), it wouldn't be such an imperative.
There are lots of things to do aside from the parks - there is stuff at Fort Wilderness, the mini-golf courses, Downtown Disney, looking at the decorations (during the holiday season), etc, so if you finish AK in less than a day, you can find other things to do. Or you can relax at the pool and take it easy for a bit.

We always park hop and use the water parks. However with going in November I don't know how much you would get to utilize the water parks. We do a water park in the am, go back for a nap and then hit a park in the afternoon at least twice while we are there but, we go in September. You might want to check into the many sites that offer discount tickets and see what deals you can come up with on park hopper only. Have a great time!!

Like has been said above, we always park hop. We go to a park in the morning, returm to our resort for a break, then hit another park that evening. We have always done it that way, and would not try it any other way:thumbsup:

There are other things to do at Disney. TONS of things. That don't involve parks. Easily.
-Downtown Disney
-Boardwalk
-Fantasia Mini Golf
-WinterSummerland Golf
-Visit Resorts
-Actually relax in the room/pool
-Go shopping
-Make S'mores
-Ride the monorail
-Take a DVC tour - it's free
-Sit in a hammock at Poly
-Visit the bars in the resorts
-Sit by the fireplace at Wilderness
-Tea Time at GF
-Movies on the Beach
-Character Meals
-Cirque du Soliel
-DisneyQuest
-HOB Concerts or Club
I'll stop there but you could probably spend a week or more there and never even look at the parks.
