This is a HUGE question.

I will make a feeble attempt to answer.

MUST see shows (in my opinion) - Do not miss any of the fireworks shows at the parks -
That would mean:
Illuminations (Epcot)
Wishes (Magic Kingdom)
Fantasmic (Disney Hollywood Studios)

Other shows that are excellent (again in my opinion)are:
Nemo (Animal Kingdom)
Festival of the Lion King (Animal Kingdom)

Everything I have mentioned above to me are not to be missed. The list below is debatable, but out of the ones I listed below, I don't know where to begin, they are all good and I would hate to tell you to skip any, especially if you are a 1st timer....

Other Big shows:
Beauty & the Beast (DHS)
Indiana Jones (DHS)
Lights Motor Action (DHS)
American Adventure (Epcot)

Smaller Shows:
Little Mermaid (DHS)

3-D glasses shows
It's Tough to be a Bug (Animal Kingdom)
Muppets (DHS)
Honey I Shrunk the Audience (Epcot)
Mickey's Philharmagic (Magic Kingdom) - I think this one may be closed when you are there...

VERY cool INTERACTIVE Technology:
Turtle Talk with Crush (Epcot)
Laugh Floor (Magic Kingdom)

Classic Disney Animatronic Technology:
Tiki Room (MK)
Country Bears (MK)
Hall of Presidents (MK) Also closed

At Epcot, a lot of the countries have films that they run featuring the country
O Canada is done in Circle Vision and is beautiful - but you have to stand to see it.
And I have not seen the others, well I did see the Norway film, once.

OK, fellow intercotees, you gotta help me out here. I did not realize how many shows there really were until I started to list them and I am sure I have missed some.

Parades - I have not seen the afternoon parade at Magic Kingdom.
Jammin' Jungle Parade (AK) - very good
Spectromagic Parade (MK)-must see night-time light parade
Block Party Bash (DHS) I have not seen this one.

As far as parades go, the parade route is listed on the park map and any cast member will be able to tell you the best place to view and how early to get there to make sure you have the best viewing.

I hope this helps some.

Do you mean the shows in the parks? Every show is different, because they are all shows about different things.

The Block Party Bash is the parade at DHS. It is based on Pixar movies (Toy Story, Monsters Inc, and Bug's Life). The parade has 2 show stops where the floats stop and perform a show.

For me, must see parades are:
*Spectromagic (MK)- I like to watch on Main Street
*MJJP (AK)- I like to watch by the Safari ride
*BPB- this will depend on which unit you want to see (you won't be able to see all 3). I like the Toy Story or Monsters Inc units best myself.

There is even a fountain in between Innovations East and West (in Epcot) that at a designated time does its own show set to music...

And there is also the streetmosphere...

and Off Kilter (live band in Epcot Canada section)

OK, I had better just stop. :)

If you can narrow down your "shows" question a bit, I'd be happy to tell you what we most enjoyed...

Also, the thread title says events - in which the hard ticket events (Halloween and Christmas) have different parades, shows and fireworks for the season.
