My favorite area is this one corner of the jungle with a few of my favorite plants, you should all know that spot I'm talking about, the one area near that funny looking rock with those greenish leafy plants around them. Best spot EVER! :D

Path from the train to Space Mtn. Few people any time of year. A close second would be the TTA, just a nostalgic must do every trip.

Tom Sawyer's Island! Sure it has no real rides other than the raft ride over, but its totally cool to run around there. Love jumping on the bridges, romping thru the fort, and spelunking through the caves.

I like the boardwalk that runs along The Rivers of America in Frontierland. On one end you can see HM and Liberty Square. On the other end, you see Splash and BTMRR. BTW, it by-passes all the congestion of Frontierland.

My favorite part is in Frontierland. There's a little shop with the wooden walkway outside. The big Egret hangs out at the turkey cart which is right there and it's across from the Tom Sawyer Island water wheel. I used to love to sit in a rocking chair there for hours. I say "used to" because the last time I was at the MK, "my" rocking chair was gone-I probably wore it out!

My favorite area is in Splash Mountain, when you finish your incline and the ride truly begins. The music there is great, and you get a great view of the Castle and the rest of the park before heading down Slip'N Falls back into the Mountain.

This is a hard question for me because I really love most of the "lands" and sections of MK but hum... let me say Tomorrowland. I love the walk down Main St and the excitement I feel as I curve right towards Tomorrowland. There's nothing like heading for SM as soon as the park opens and avoiding the lines that build later in the day! :mickey:

That's probably my second favorite place, after the one I previously mentioned, also in Frontierland-going down those falls at Splash Mountain. It may sound corny, but to me, that defines the whole feeling of being at WDW. As we chug up the little hill, my body tenses up. Then as we go whishing down the hill, I'm laughing hysterically, all my cares are flying off me, and at the bottom I always feel so relaxed and have the biggest grin on my face.

My favorite spot is in Adventureland across from my favorite snack--Dole Whip Floats--sitting on the look-like-rock benches (usually with the snack in my hand!) at night. It's so relaxing and feels like I'm someplace else with no worries! I also would have to say walking any path walking toward the castle. I love looking at it from all the different directions. :mickey:

I've got a lot: the watching area outside Splash and Thunder Mountains, the bridge that goes between Frontierland and Liberty Square (behind the turkey legs), the little stage where Belle reads stories near the castle, and on and on.

But the one that first came to mind when I read this thread was the little walk through that goes between Adventureland and Frontierland. I don't know why, really - just that picturing that little space puts me right there.

I guess I need to put my first post somewhere and this seems a good place to start.

As whole areas I'm going to have to go with Mickey's Toontown Fair and Tomorrow Land. This is possibly because of the 3 times we've gone we have atleast twice (not sure about visit #2) started by taking the Walt Disney World Railroad to Mickey's Toontown Fair. Then after meeting Mickey and the gang, having a look around and a ride on the Barnstormer we headed towards Tomorrowland. Also like the level of detail in these two to get the atmosphere just right.

Though I also have to agree with the people who said about the sudden rush just as you walk through the gates and into Mainstreet USA. And of course Frontierland gets some bonus points for having 2 of the 3 mountains.

In fairness all the lands are great, each one has it's own distinct magic about it. :mickey:

It's a little side area on Tom Sawyer Island. It's to the side of the fort. It's a little docking area (unused), and it's right across from Thunder Mountain. The first time I found it, there were rocking chairs. I sat in one, and waved to the people on the ride. I got a lot of waves back! ^_^ But when I went there last time, the rockers were gone, and the little docking area was roped off. But it's still my favorite little secret area. A great place to go, to get away from the crowd (well a little), and wave to the people on Thunder Mountain. ^_^

It's Frontierland for me. It has Splash Mountain (our family's overall #1 WDW attraction :number1:) there's also BTMRR, Tom Sawyer's Island and the Shooting Gallery, both of which I & my two DS love, and Pecos's Bill's for lunch. On top of that it's a great place to watch the parades.

Of course, there's no place in the MK (or WDW for that matter) that I don't like. :cloud9:

My favorite part is the whole area between Liberty Square/Frontierland and the riverwalk area as you head towards Splash... it is so pretty in there, with so many different sights. And I love the riverwalk... watching the logs come down Splash, seeing BTMRR in the distance, seeing the ferry boat go by, watching folks on the raft head for Tom Sawyer's Island and being able to turn and see HM behind you... sigh... I wanna go....

For me it's that very first day, the very first time you walk under the railroad tracks at the entrance and begin your walk to Main Street.

As I was reading all of the posts, I knew this would be my answer. I can't believe it took all the way until the 71st post for someone else to say it!

I have a close second, but it really isn't in MK. It is the pathway from MK to the Contemporary. Its either the excitement of the walk there and the anticipation of what's ahead, or the relaxation of the walk back to our room reflecting on how great of a day we just had.

Wow. What a great topic - and so tough to answer.

I love it when we cut past Crystal Palace and cross that bridge into Adventureland. It just really feels like you're crossing into another world, and for me ... that's when it feels like I am finally "on vacation".

I love the area outside of Splash Mountain and Big Thunder Martin, where you can sit peacefully on a bench in a secluded nook and look out over the lake to Tom Sawyer Island, while hearing the screams of the thrill rides in the background.

But my favorite, due primarily to my favorite ride, is the area standing right outside of the entrance to the Haunted Mansion, where the crisp brick and white of the colonial themed Liberty Square buts up against the spooky and creepy Mansion grounds. If you've ever stood there after dark during Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween party, you know what I'm talking about.

I love how each area of the MK has it's own distinctive feel, and I truly enjoy each area for it's own individual characteristics. That being said, my favorite areas are:

Frontierland. The smoky smell and the saloon style buildings really make this area unique.

Adventureland. I love walking over the bridge from the hub and hearing the subtle drum beats. All the lush greenery and open-air market stalls make this area seem like another world!

And my #1 FAVORITE...Liberty Square! I just adore the architecture here, it's such a clean and proper version of colonial America! I love walking out from lunch at Columbia Harbor House and just taking in the scenery as we stroll toward the Mansion! Even Colonial Williamsburg, despite being larger, doesn't capture the "feel" of the era for me as well as Liberty Square does.
