So what will you go to Disney and celebrate this year? I wonder because we are going in January for my DS 12th birthday and I wonder how many people are taking advantage of this here? Tell us your story!

Last year it was my DH's MBA graduation.

This year it will be for the Marathon. Both last year and this year will be RIGHT before one of our two DSs birthdays, but not on. Mostly we go because we can and like too, but there is always something to celebrate.

Going to celebrate when 2009 is over so that we can start planning our 2010 trip!!

Not going to WDW this year, going on a Bahamas cruise instead. Financially, we can only do one major trip a year (even though we could do TWO WDW trips for the price of this cruise!!)

If we go down this year, it will probably be for Spring Break.
Is that enough reason to celebrate?

Husband and I will be celebrating our 30th anniversary in Sept. Is Disney offering anything special for anniverarys or is it just for birthdays?

Told the wife I would get her a new kitchen for our 35th anniversary. She opted to take our kids and their spouses and children and spend a week at the BC. Who am I to argue!

( Bet she expects the kitchen for our 36th though) :secret:

That's a reason to celebrate right there!

And, hopefully, I'll be celebrating me getting excepted to grad school. But that celebration remains to be seen. (huh...no "hopeful" icon)

This year we'll be celebrating our 30th anniversary in Oct @ the World! It seems to be the norm for us to head to WDW for all our special events cause it is such a special place! We were there for our honeymoon, 10th anniversary, 25th anniversary, 2 weeks after I aced my breast cancer surgery, and even to celebrate the end of my chemo/radi treatments!!:yay: Hey...who needs a reason to celebrate @ WDW? Although, I LOVE the idea of a FREE day!

We will be celebrating my fiance's 26th birthday on June 25th! We were actually there on my birthday in Dec of 2007 but there was no extra special celebration for it that year (even though everyone still made it awesome)... and I did get a nice shiny engagement ring, so no complaints! We will be taking the gift card option.

I hadn't thought about it - but then I realized that DH and I will be married 4 years in June! I guess our September trip can be thought of as a late anniversary celebration. :mickey:

We, myself and DD17, will be celebrating us at WDW in Nov. Just the two of us against the world. I will be also be celebrating the fact that I managed to a raise a wonderful young lady as a single parent as well as her graduation from high school (which isn't until spring '10 but we'll get an early start on the celebrations;)). Our celebration won't gain us free admission but I am very proud of both of us and what we have accomplished together!!! We definately deserve another wonderful trip to WDW.
