We are a family of four, with two high school age daughters. This was our third trip to WDW, each time staying at the FW cabins. Our first was in July of 2005, and the last two were over Thanksgiving weeks. We started planning this trip early in 2008, but didn’t originally count on our daughter having surgery in September. This meant that she had a cast on for our trip, and she travelled with both wheelchair and crutches. We weren’t interested in the water parks or any extras so we booked the cabin and tickets packages direct with Disney, no dining option but with the park hopper. Eight nights, nine days with a AAA rate for the first several days. We had a fabulous trip – probably our last for a while since the kids are heading to college soon. It’s taken us a week to put this together and it is long so we’ll probably post it in segments. Enjoy!

Must have been a challenging trip for your daughter as well as the rest of the family! I know what a difference depending on crutches can be!

Sorry to hear about your daughter.

I'll tell ya, as soon as both my kids head to college, WDW will be the first place I go...I think I'll be following them out the door as they leave.

Sounds like a good trip (minus the crutches) ensued.

Looking forward to reading the reports!
