Fantastic Surprise/Upgrade

We arrived at the Grand Floridian security gate around noon. The guard called in and announced 54 and 55 was on their way. He said concierge would be waiting for us but it didn't register.
We pulled up in front and a young lady was waiting for us with 2 folders for us. She got a bellhop to bring over his cart and we loaded up and off we went.
I have never stayed here before so I didn't know just what to expect.
We pulled up in front of the Sugarloaf building which I recognized as a concierge building.
She gave us anniversary buttons,said happy 50th anniversary, and showed us to connecting first floor rooms close to the lounge/food area.
We had been given a fantastic upgrade. As my jaw got tangled up with my shoe laces, I still couldn't believe it and managed a big thank you.
What a way to start a vacation.

Isn't that a wonderful surprise? DH and I were lucky enough to get the same complimentary upgrade when we were there in October this year. We absolutely loved Sugar Loaf. We were also surprised to find champagne and roses in our room on two different nights, along with other gifts and goodies throughout our stay.

That's fantastic! And very, very deserving of a wonderful surprise - 50 years of marriage and young-at-heart enough to still love Disney! I bet they don't get a whole lot of guests who qualify on both counts :-)
