Oct. 26, 1923 – Market Winkler Mintz, a film distributor from New York signed a contract with Walt Disney to distribute the Alice Comedies.
Oct. 26, 1935 – Disney’s Silly Symphony cartoon “Three Orphan Kittens” was released.
Oct. 26, 1945 – Disney’s Donald Duck cartoon “Cured Duck” was released.
Oct. 26, 1949 – A letter from Disney marketing genius Kay Kamen (mailed from Paris and postmarked Oct. 26) was received by Ruth Ivener, vice-president of business details and jokes about Kamen’s fear of flying. Tragically, at age 56, Kay Kamen and his beloved wife Katie, would die 2 days later in an Air-France crash over the Azores (a group of islands in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean.)
