Visiting Resorts at Christmas

From a lot of my reading people are saying that they like the Wilderness Lodge and Grand Floridian at Christmas. I know the GF you can take the monorail. One of the postings said you could take a boat from the Contemporary to the WL. How do we do we leave from in the Contemporary? Thanks!

The Contemporary Boat dock is strait out the back of the resort. Beyond the pool.

You can also catch the boat at the MK.

Can you drive and park to visit any of the other resorts?

Yes you can drive to the resorts just to check them out. At the security gate just tell them why you are there and they will give you a temporary pass to put on your dash. I think the pass is for 2 hours.

You can do this to visit at Christmas, to shop a particular "gift" shop, or to eat at a resort.
