Fireworks

Just returned from the world this past Saturday. DH was wondering if Disney makes their own fireworks. It just seems like a lot of money to spend purchasing them from an outside company since each park uses them on a daily basis.

From what I understand, they do have their own shop to make the fireworks they use each day:thumbsup:

WDW obviously has a Pyrotechnics Department that designs and executes the shows using fireworks and specs out what kind of shells are used and the Disney contract to make those shells would be coveted but I WDW actually makes the materials their launchers fire.

We know WDW is the largest single site employer in the US (Still, yes?). I think it would be interesting to know how many businesses essentially have WDW as their only client.
