No, I won't be going until the 30th, 2nd, and hopefully on the 4th.

However, I am starting to reconsider going on the 4th becuase of the disappoint of the firework show. Not only did they cut, not 1, not 2, but 3 (!) moments in the show, the also speed the show up. After the start, they jump right into tink flying and skip my fav. part in the show with the little girl singing. Then, they skip a part in the show that doesn't even use fireworks and just adds a little something when they talk about coming home for christmas and all the room lights in the castle turn on. Then, they cut another part that imho should not have been removed. Again, it is the girl signing about sleighs and getting ready for christmas and then it lead into talking about Santa coming to town. However now, they just jump right into the santa and it makes the viewer seem a bit lost.

I don't understand why the prices keep going up but things keep getting cut. With the way things are going, in a few years the firework show is going to be them shooting two fireworks into the sky and thats it, lol.

Now, some may say that it was just the first night and or that the videos I watched may have been edited, but they are not. I just hope the rest of the event is like it was last year because it was so much fun and the fireworks really made it special for me. Lets hope that they change it to the normal show soon and that everything else stayed the same.

I literally just got back into my room from tonight's MVMCP! There weren't too many people at the party, but enough that we still had to wait in some lines (15 minutes tops though.) There were some longer lines for the characters as well - we never got in to see Santa, Mickey, and Minnie as it was so crowded and my brother was starting to get ornery, and Tink and the Fairies had about an hour wait. Walked right in to the Princess room though!!!

Outside the Christmas party, the parks have been fairly busy for this time of year. Of course this week is the week of the NJ Teachers' Conference, so there are a lot of NJ families down there this week, which I think adds to the crowd. Almost every other group seems to be from NJ. I don't think anyone is left in the state right now cause they're all down here!

This will be my first MVMCP on 12/18, I have been sooooo curious to find out what they are selling at the MVMCP this year, Do you know of anything they have for sale this year? Or pictures of the merchandise or party? Last year I got to the parks a few days after the last party and I bought one of the fleece blankets 50% off, So I am curious as to what they are selling this year. I really love my blanket and would like to purchase one from the party this year. :santa3::santa::tree::santa3::santa3:

This is what I remember:

-Red zip up sweatshirt with white fleece inside. Had MVMCP and a snowflake embroidered on it. I wanted to get it, but couldn't justify $78

-BIG hot chocolate/coffee mug

-Ceramic ornament

-Ivory fleece blanket

-plush hats with the light up ice castle

-tshirts and sweatshirts (red and green)

-stiff cardboard photo frames

-light up snowflake necklaces

-pins

-blue and white longsleeve shirts with allover mickey snowflake print

That's what I can remember. I don't have photos of any of it, though. Sorry!

Thanks for the quick response  I am so excited to get to be there for the party this year. Unfortunately with this excitement means that I will probably be able to justify buying alot of stuff that is a high price. Better bring my credit card, wait no I better HIDE my credit card

Yes, we went to the first one on Nov. 10. It was great! You are permitted to enter the park with your ticket for the MVMCP at 4 pm. We were given a bright pink wristband. The party does not actually begin until 7 pm. The parade, shows, fireworks, and dance party were all wonderful. It was not very crowded. We walked on the rides. They had the snow, cookies, apple slices, hot choc., and apple juice. The decorations were lovely. We could not ask for more!

We too went on Monday night and we had a great time. It wasn't as crowded as I thought it would be. We only went on a few of the attractions. We spent most of our time watching the parades, fireworks and stage shows. A chill in the air and the snow added to the feeling of the holidays.

It "snows" on main street throughout the party (soap snow). Added a nice touch. We were also there on Monday (coming from Western Canada we didn't find it too cold at least) and had a wonderful time. One of our highlights was Mickey's Twas the Night Before Christmas - but get there early. We arrived at 6:20 for the 7pm show. By 6:30 it was standing room only and closed off shortly after that. Worth the wait - a really sweet show! Arrived at 4:00 and we walked onto all the rides all night long. :snowman:

We were the there 2nd night of the show. The shows, parade & fireworks were good. I would not rush back in my honest opinion. MNSSHP is 1000 times better.

We just went to the 2nd night of the party. Have to say I was not that impressed. The shows, fireworks & parade were nice but nothing compares to MNSSHP. The crowds were mostly noticed during the parade & fireworks other than that it felt like your normal day in the parks.

The Disney Dream Squad gave our family free tickets to MVMCP on Nov 11! Otherwise, we would not have attended. But it was a wonderful surprise with a night of walk-on rides, cocoa, and cookies. Not to mention VIP seats for the parade!

Dh & I are thinking of doing MVMCP when we're there in early Dec. for our 3-Nt. cruise since we're staying until Monday. So we'll have Sunday free to do just that.

2 more days until I am at the MVMCP with my DD. I cannot wait. I hope Belle does not have an enormous line. Our plan is Parade, fireworks, characters and stage shows.

Belle ALWAYS seems to have an enormous line.

We had our pic taken with her and Beast last year at MVMCP. When we got out of dinner at LTT around 6:00 pm, there were already about 10 groups in line! We were lucky....we were only about the 20th or so in line ( I wasn't about to get in line that early, so we waited until 6:50 or so). It took about 35 minutes to get through the line once it started moving. Yes, that's right....we were lucky. The line was well over an hour long a couple hours into the party. Get there first thing....
