Nov. 9, 1886 – Comedic star Ed Wynn, who portrayed Uncle Albert in Disney’s 1964 classic film “Mary Poppins,” and Mr. Hofstedder, the watch jeweler in Disney’s 1965 “That Darn Cat!” was born in Philadelphia, Pa.
Nov. 9, 1955 – The Disneyland TV Series presented part 2 of the live-action movie “The Story of Robin Hood.”
Nov. 9, 1955 - The Mickey Mouse Club aired the episode “Today is Anything Can Happen Day” on ABC-TV.
Nov. 9, 1955 – Actress Karen Dotrice, who portrayed Jane Banks in Disney’s 1964 “Mary Poppins,” was born in the United Kingdom. Her other Disney credits include “The Gnome-Mobile (1967) and “The Three Lives of Thomasina (1964).
Nov. 9, 1986 – The Wonderful World of Disney aired the episode “Walt Disney World’s 15th Anniversary Celebration.”
Nov. 9, 1990 – The serial on the Mickey Mouse Club “My Life as a Babysitter” ended on The Disney Channel. (Began Oct. 15, 1990)
Nov. 9, 1993 - Sunshine Season Food Fair opened at The Land Pavilion
Nov. 9, 1997 – The 2-hour Disney movie “Angels in the End Zone,” aired on The Wonderful World of Disney.
Nov. 9, 1999 – The “Skyway” attraction at WDW closed, 5 years to the day of the closing of Disneyland’s “Skyway” attraction.
Nov. 9, 1999 – Disney’s “Toy Story 2” soundtrack, featuring the music of Randy Newman was released.
