Well, now I'm back from Chicago and rarin' to go. Let's get this thing planned. Which day would you prefer to have it?

Either Sunday works for me, but I voted for this 11/9. Weekdays/nights are pretty difficult.

It's starting to look like this Sunday will be the day. Do we still want to meet at Mary Coyle's?

The other option is 11/16. I could do that one instead of the 9th & so can AZ Disney. What about the other person who voted for 11/9?

I just found the poll. I voted for 11/19. This Sunday is rather short notice...

I voted for Sunday night - ANY Sunday night would be more than fine:D

I think Sunday night on 11/16 or 11/23 would be OK.

Alright! Let's do it Sunday, Nov. 16. Although it wasn't the biggest on the poll, from reading everyone's posts, I think more people can make it then. How about at 6 pm? Where do we want to meet? I know it was originally at Mary Coyle's, but there was also talk of doing Glendale Glitters (I'm not sure when it starts.) Toss any other ideas out and we can vote on that too.

i vote for a location where we can actually talk.
I'm not sure there are many spots in Glendale to sit. It's a stroll kind of thing.
I'll go with the 16th if that's what's best for everyone.:)

The 16th works for me too. I don't really care on the location, but I can't head to the East Valley that late with it being a school night for the boys. I've never been to Mary Coyle's, but I'm thinking someplace to eat would be good considering that it's dinner time. Whatever works will be fine with me.

I'm firm with the 16th at Mary Coyle's at 6:00p.m., so you have two "yes"'s.:mickey:

Glendale Glitters is great - that's where my dollmaking class is, but there really aren't many places to eat, and the area is extremely congested. If you get a chance, however, the glitters is worth your time.

Mary Coyle's is okay with me. Does anyone know if they have dinner or is it just ice cream?

Glendale Glitters is great - but there really aren't many places to eat

Marilyn, have you ever eaten at that German restaurant right by Glendale Glitters? I can't think of the name, but I'll figure it out. You should really try it if you haven't. They have an outdoor eating area that's nice if it's not too cold. When it's cold, I eat inside.

If you're talking about Murphy's, it's awesome!
Some Sat., if you're free, meet me there for lunch.:)

Dinner at Haus Murphy's in Glendale would be fine. Or, El Torito at Metro Center in Phoenix. Or, if you like healthy food, a new Pita Jungle recently opened at 7530 W. Bell Road. There are also lots of restaurants in the Westgate area of Glendale, near the sports stadiums. They have a Japanese teppanyaki place, also Saddle Ranch Chop House (western American style food), Margaritaville, lots more.

So, are we firm on Mary Coyles, Sunday, the 16th at 6:00 p.m.?
I really hope everybody can make it - I'm looking forward to meeting you all.:)

I would actually prefer any of the restaurants I suggested in my post above, but if the majority would prefer Mary Coyle's, I could go there. What is most convenient for everyone else?

Cinderelley
11-12-2008, 02:04 PM
I think we better stick with Mary Coyle's in case some people don't check the thread between now and Sunday, since it was planned to meet there before. We can always do the next one at Haus Murphy's. We'll all pretend we're at Biergarten there.

Marilyn Michetti
11-12-2008, 02:22 PM
I agree - it's kind of late to change location, and hey, why not plan other meets?

I'm still thinking we should do another meet when the tour comes through in February.

I was getting the impression that Glendale would be more convenient for more people, but that's fine if you all want to stick with Mary Coyle's for this Sunday night, and maybe we can do a future meet in Glendale. I like your idea of going to Haus Murphy and pretending we're at Biergarten!

See you at Mary Coyle's, then! :mickey:

It was nice to meet everyone who was able to attend. We discussed that next time we might like to meet at the Japanese Teppanyaki place at Westgate in Glendale.

Let's plan another one soon! We had discussed possibly choosing one of the many restaurants in the Westgate area of Glendale (near the sports arenas).
