Oct. 30, 1735 – John Adams, the 2nd U.S. President, was born in Braintree, Massachusetts. He could be visited along with all the U.S. Chief Executives at the “Hall of Presidents” attraction in the Magic Kingdom at WDW.
Oct. 30, 1906 – Composer Paul Smith, who would write scores for nearly 70 Disney animated shorts and won an Oscar for the music in “Pinocchio,” was born in Calumet, Michigan.
Oct. 30, 1929 – Disney’s Silly Symphony cartoon “Hells Bells,” and the 1st cartoon directed by Ub Iwerks, was released.
Oct. 30, 1930 – Disney’s Silly Symphony cartoon “Winter” was released.
Oct. 30, 1939 – Actor Sammy Ogg, who played Joe Simpson on the Disney 1955 – 1957 serial “The Adventures of Spin and Marty,” was born in Lexington, Va.
Oct. 30, 1957 – Actor Kevin Pollak, who played Spidlok in WDW’s attraction “Alien Encounter,” and has credits included with Disney’s 2002 “Santa Claus 2,” was born in San Francisco, Ca.
Oct. 30, 1959 – The Disney TV show aired episode 2 of “The Swamp Fox: Brother Against Brother.”
Oct. 30, 1960 – The “Walt Disney Presents” TV show featured the 1st “Zorro” episode “El Bandido.”
Oct. 30, 1963 – The Disney film “The Incredible Journey” was released.
Oct. 30, 1966 – The Disney TV show aired episode 2 of “Gallegher Goes West: Crusading Reporter.”
