View Full Version : How do we get to MK by 7am?

We will be heading down to the World next week & we are doing the Magic Behind the Steam Trains tour. We are supposed to be there by 7:15am. Since the park doesn't open until 9, i'm assuming the buses will not be running yet?
1. If we take a cab, where is the best place to be dropped off?
2. What time does the monorail start running at the MK hotels?
3. If we are dropped at the TTC, what time do the ferry or monorail begin taking guests to the MK?

You could always go to Contemporary and walk to MK....

I agree with that approach. The walk to MK from the Contemporary takes about 10 minutes tops.

Last year DH and DS12 took a cab from WL. The driver dropped them off at the Contemporary and they walked to MK. Left at 7A and were there by 715A.

1) Buses start running (leave the barn) at 6:45am.
2) They may or may not get to you in time.
3) Best to take a taxi at that time of morning.

Thanks for the quick response. So it looks like we'll be taking a taxi to the Contemporary. Is there anywhere in particular we should ask to be dropped of there, or do they have to drop as at the main lobby? We will be staying at POP, is there someone there to call a taxi for us... or will we need to call ourselves?

The Resort Monorail starts at 7 a.m.

I think the first train is scheduled to depart TTC right at 7, so it would get you to the MK station around 7:10, after stopping at the Poly and GF.

We had a 7:20 adr at Chef Mickeys and we were staying at SSR. I couldn't find out any info on the buses so my dad ran us over in their car. (They drove down from Pensacola) I didn't want to take a chance on missing the adr. So I would agree a cab would be best.:mickey:

We too are doing that tour and was told to take cab from Beach Club to the Contemporary and walk. They also suggested to call ahead for the taxi as there are not many just sitting at the hotel at that time of day! We are doing it Sat after Thanksgiving - a suprise for my DS.
