Dream Fast Passes

This is our second trip in which we would see familys with the coveted dream fast passes. Does anyone know how many are handed out each day and if there is any method that these families are picked? I've heard it is first thing in the morning, but just a rumor. Also, this past trip we noticed more families than before with them hanging around their necks.

They're usually handed out in the morning. Like you we weren't lucky enough to get a Dream Fastpass (DFP) whilst we were in WDW (20 Sept - 04 Oct). A DFP would have been wasted as most attrations/rides (except TSMM) were walk-on.

FYI: The DFP CMs wear blue shirts and beige shorts. My niece (13) did manage to obtain a DFP, back in August, by following the DFP CMs around whenever she saw one. It looks like persistance pays off ;)

They're given out as part of the Year of a Million Dreams celebration. I think they give out like 100 a day at each park or something like that. They're always given out in the morning, normally some time between park opening and about 10AM.

It's totally random. The computer spits out a time and location and the Dream Squad gives out how ever many the computer says they should. There's no way to know when or where they'll be given out.

My DH and DD won DFP on TOT when they were among the 1st 25 people on in the AM. When they were escorted into the libary and after the intro by Rod Serling, all were given DFP before they moved on. :thumbsup:

How lucky for everyone who has received the DFP! I guess I would love to have one, even if all the rides happen to be walk-on.

We received Dream Lanyards and Pins in the library of TOT. Maybe that is a good place to be.

The day we received ours they were handing them out to the first 100 entering Epcot at the back entrance at opening. We talked to another family at HS and they received theirs for being one of the first 100 to visit Mickey Mouse for a picture.

We received them last year waiting in line for Soarin' first thing in the a.m.

I won a dream fastpass going into the rock n roller coaster pre-show area.. I think they get about 200+ going into the pre-show area and I think they let in three lots that were given fastpasses.

We got ours on our trip back in July at It's tough to be a bug in AK. We got there at the early morning extra magic hours. We were able to ride everything we wanted and were on our way out of the park around 10 am that morning when we stopped at It's tough to be a bug. The Dream Squad was there passing out DFP to everyone entering for that showing.

Maharaja Jungle Trek in Animal Kingdom is a very popular spot for these in the mornings.


No guarantees, but worth a try around say 9:15

Just curious as my DH, DS and DD split up sometimes at the parks .... if two of us are in a lucky spot and the are awarding DFP's, will they give us 2 or 4?
