I think I remember seeing something about this ride but not sure what it is. What is this ride like and where is the Toy Story ride located inside HS?

Toy Story Medway Mania is located where Who Wants To be A Millionaire was, that is between the Voyage of the Little Mermaid and the Backlot Tour.

The ride is a 4D interactive shooting game involving the characters of the movies. I don't want to give anything way apart from it's great fun and so it's very popular (long stand-by line). You need to get there early (like park opening) and get a fastpass!

It is located right behind the big hat - near "One Mans Dream". Just walk towards the hat, veer right down the stairs, take a left and keep walking (most likely following the crowd)

It is a 4 D ride in which you throw dart, rings, discs at various objects on different screens. Similar to Buzz Lightyear, but you will get bursts of air on your face etc as another element. The ride will compute your final score, and they post the high scores for the day and month to try to beat. A really fun ride for kids of all ages! But be warned, everyone flocks to the ride first thing, so we fast passed it before waiting in line then fast passed it as soon as possible before using the fast passes. We managed 3 rides in one day. Have fun! :mickey:

Ditto...where the Millionaire was. Get there as the park opens and make it your first stop. Get a fast pass and if you're lucky try getting in line. Fast passes for everything else seemed to be available all day. These went OUT by 11:00-12:00 and the wait was up to 2 hours.

If you want any chance of riding...GET THERE EARLY! This line was ridiculous last week. 2 hour waits, FP's were gone by 10 a.m. and we had to still wait 20 minutes when returning for our FP time! It was crazy!

Early morning hints for Toy Story...

At park opening the CMs control the crowd such that at the "Hat" you have to go through the "Studios" archway towards the Animation Courtyard then turn left in front of Voyage of the Little Mermaid.

When they drop the "rope" at Sunset Blvd, keep right and pass the topiary of Mickey and the brooms then cut across to the centre archway.

The FP machines are before the entrance to the ride and the FP lines often block the street resulting in TOTAL CHAOS.

Finally, unless you like being shouted at, don't take strollers into the FP machine area.

Yep, got to be there early, even more than Soarin'. Every time we went (basically everyday), the FPs were gone before 11am and the ride lineup was 100-110 minutes by 11am. We finally got on it Friday at about noon when the rain had kept the line down to 70 minutes but by the time we got out it was 110 again.

But this ride is absolutely worth it. Its tremendous fun and I think the best thing that Disney had produced in years. If the acquisition of Pixar leads to imagineering like this then things will be really good. Regardless of whether you can get and FP or not you must ride Toy Store Midway Mania when you are there. You won't regret the wait in the Standby line if you have to do it. Mr. Potato Head alone is worth a little time.:number1:
