Name Tag in Parks

Does anyone know if it is ok for me to wear my Disney Store Name Tag while on vaca at WDW? I loved my b-day button a few years back because the CM's kept calling me by name.

No, you can't. Because of liability issues and the fact that Guests won't recognize that you aren't a WDW CM, you can't wear your tag if you aren't working.

Maybe go to a giftshop and get one of the nametags they sell? They look similar to a Disney CM nametag but they're much larger so it's pretty obvious that you aren't on an onduty CM but it still makes it possible for CM's to call you by name.
