Which ride or attraction is the best for napping?

My vote would be Spaceship Earth. Though It was much better before they put the screens in each car.

TTA is a good nap ride!:mickey:

well dw loves to take a snooze on Universe of Engergy ride

I prefer the 'attraction' of taking an afternoon break and napping in a chair by the pool. At the parks, I like to enjoy the attractions.

As much as I love CoP...its one of my favorite rides. I sometimes catch myself dozing off...when I am fully akwake though, I am wide awake for the whole show.

I have also dozed off on SSE a couple of times..but most of the time I love staying awake for the whole ride bc I love trying to look at every little detail to each scene.

The best ride for napping would have to be the TTA. Its a nice, long, smooth ride and you have leg room to just stretch out and relax.

This is not really a ride for napping on but a funny story about napping:

In 2003, my parents wanted to take their darling grand-daughter (our niece) to WDW and we accompanied them. We were watching the "Voyage of the Little Mermaid" and my father, in his 70s and not really interested in the show, took the opportunity for a nap. He was happily snoozing away, :sleepin:, but awoke suddenly when some water dripped on him! :D

There are 3 guaranteed snoozers for me:
1. Hall of Presidents
2. American Adventure
3. Carousel of Progress
Since we often go to Disney during the Summer months, all of these attractions are a great place to cool off and get a quick nap.

10-24-2008, 01:25 PM
Good call on the American Adventure Jeff T!!!

10-24-2008, 01:58 PM
Hall of Presidence or American Adventure are the ones I catch myself dozing on.

10-24-2008, 03:26 PM
I'd like to add "Sounds Dangerous"

10-24-2008, 03:28 PM
Carousel of Progress puts me to sleep every time. The DD and DW get extremely upset with me because they are looking for hidden Mickey's throughout the whole ride...the only hidden Mickey's I see are on the insides of my eyelids. :D

10-24-2008, 03:29 PM
Since I'm often in the park all day long, leaving Disney means a 70 mile trip to my home. So we've got our favorite places to catnap in each park:
France, the movie (we've even had cast members say 'enjoy your nap')
Universe of energy - long, dark & cool
Cartoon movie in the Land about recycling - snooze city, sorry Timone & Pumba
Magic Kingdom:
Hall of President
Carousel of Progress
Disney Hollywood Studios:
Sounds Dangerous - dark, air conditioned, and quiet too w/o the headphones!
Animal Kingdom
a bench in the shade is as good as it gets here unfortunately.

10-24-2008, 03:34 PM
i think either TTA or universe or energy but i never fall asleep because im always to hyper

10-24-2008, 03:44 PM
MY favorite Nap places:

Hall of Presidents... woke myself up and had my family hysterical with a snore.

Ellen's Energy Adventure... big nap here

Fred's favorite nap places:
Any bench...LOL!
Hall of Presidents
Ellen's Energy Adventure

Have Fun, and remember naps are good so you can keep on going!

10-24-2008, 05:25 PM
Hands down for me it's Ellen's Energy Adventure.

I've copped some quality nap time on that ride, as a few of my fellow INTERCOTees can attest. ;)

10-24-2008, 07:07 PM
Ellen's Energy Adventure:sleepin:

10-24-2008, 08:12 PM
Hall of Presidents for me. I've been to Disney countless times, and I have only seen the entire show this last trip in January!

10-24-2008, 08:21 PM
I vote the American Adventure too. Nice place to cool off and take a snooze!! :secret:

10-24-2008, 09:56 PM
Hall of Presidence or American Adventure are the ones I catch myself dozing on.

Add to this world of energy and you have my trio.

10-24-2008, 10:23 PM
no matter it's incarnation, since 82 Universe of Energy has never failed to give my and DW and well needed long nap :sleepin::sleepin::sleepin:

10-25-2008, 12:32 AM
I can't believe that no one has mentioned it yet. The absolute best place to catch a nap is on the bus. It is all I can do to stay awake.

10-25-2008, 03:33 AM
Universe of Energy and American Adventure!!

I don't mean to fall asleep, but I always do:blush:

10-25-2008, 04:41 AM
For DSs, it is the monorail to EPCOT. Hop on that baby for a couple round trips and they are ready to go again.

For me, it would probably be "Welcome to the Hall of..." :sleepin:

10-25-2008, 05:59 AM
Yep it's Ellen's Energy Adventure in Epcot. If your hot and need a rest this is the place to do it! I nap there every time and it's a long ride.

10-25-2008, 09:12 AM
Definately not me...but my wife always naps during the Hall of Presidents.

10-25-2008, 11:25 AM
The ELLEN ride without a doubt. I took a good half hour nap on that and I am a science teacher;)!!!!!

10-25-2008, 06:30 PM
sounds dangerous! just leave the headphones off and you're in complete darkness and quiet, and air conditioning. the only reason to go near that attraction

10-25-2008, 08:41 PM
spaceship earth would be the best....however, hall of presidents and peter pan's flight are good too:secret:

10-25-2008, 11:01 PM
Monorails are good.

10-26-2008, 12:45 AM
Hall of President's always seems to put me sleep, as does Sounds Dangerous!
On our last trip, we actually rode the monorail from TTC to Epcot twice without getting off in the middle of the afternoon to catch a nap. It was nice.

10-26-2008, 09:17 AM
TTA and maybe spacehip earth

10-26-2008, 12:00 PM
I would say Hall of Presidents or The American Adventure

A Big Kid

Living with the land

I avoid this one more than IASW! And the last time I rode it, "Ben Stein" was the narrator.

"Hy-dro-ponics?,,,Hy-do-ponics? Anyone?"

10-26-2008, 03:27 PM
Carousel of Progress hands down:bored:

10-27-2008, 11:11 AM

10-27-2008, 04:55 PM
Carousel of Progress:sleepin:
American Adventure:alarm:

10-27-2008, 06:35 PM
Chalk another one up for American Adventure.

10-27-2008, 09:54 PM
Universe of Energy :number1:

I don't think DH has ever seen it all the way through!

We also fell asleep in Country Bear Jamboree. It was extemely hot and humid that day.

10-27-2008, 11:51 PM
OK, this is hysterical! We caught my DB snoozing during "Lights Motors Action" attraction! We give him so much grief over this! He could sleep through anything! Obviously! Such a loud & busy attraction & we look over & he's catchin some zzz's! :haha:

10-29-2008, 01:01 AM

On a recent trip, it was hot and sticky and I had cranky (almost age 2) twins. We hopped on the TTA, enjoyed the breeze and they were asleep by the end. The CMs were great about letting me circle round and round. We rode for a good half hour before I finally had to get up and move for fear of my entire lower half going to sleep from sitting and holding them both for so long on a hard seat. Not that it isn't a great ride, we love it and the seats are fairly nice for hard...just juggling two dead-weight little ones was rough.

I would have dozed as well, but I was afraid I would drop a kid :D

10-29-2008, 10:49 AM
Great Movie Ride once for me too

10-29-2008, 11:01 AM
:mickey:I am always to excited, hyper or watching children and elders to sleep on any attraction LOL!!

10-29-2008, 11:02 AM
Tomorrow Transit Authority is my favorite place to relax at the parks; even in the hot summer there is always a breeze blowing when traveling outside and a big part of the ride is indoors (air conditioning) as well! There is normally NO WAIT and it is great for everyone to get a car by themselves! I love sitting back and propping my "tired feet" up in the seat in front of me!

TTA in MK, SpaceShip Earth in Epcot, as well as Ellen's Energy Adventure, if I'm really tired, I will catch a few winks @ Muppet Vision 3-D in HS, but I have to be really tired b/c I love the Muppets.

10-29-2008, 03:54 PM
ellen's energy and HOP.

10-29-2008, 08:12 PM
I can't ever imagine myself falling asleep on a ride LOL maybe it's cause im wayyy to excited when im there.

10-31-2008, 12:08 PM
I love the film Impressions de France, but how can you NOT fall asleep there?! It's cool, dark, and that music is like a sweet, sweet lullabye. I've never made it entirely through that one.

American Adventure and Hall of Presidents do me in, too.

10-31-2008, 03:19 PM
I've never really dozed off, but I've relaxed more on TTA, SSE, and Universe of Energy.

10-31-2008, 07:01 PM
My husband likes to nap in the Tiki room, but since it's under new management, his nap time is a lot shorter than before. I, once in awhile, look for an out-of-the-way bench and try to get 40 winks in. I use my husband's leg as a pillow:cloud9:

11-02-2008, 08:55 AM
Definitely TTA. TTA is a great attraction where you can take a nice soothing nap. The voices and spiels are very calming, you can easily fall asleep. Not only is it a nap time ride, but a informational and fun ride too.

11-02-2008, 10:24 AM
The TTA and SE are really relaxing for me. Fall asleep though?...maybe a split second doze but never any sleeping in the parks. :mickey:

Universe of Energy About a 40 minute Power nap!:alarm:

11-02-2008, 11:13 AM
I have nodded off in Spaceship Earth in the past and the one time I went to see "The American Adventure" I fell asleep and my snoring woke me up :sleepin:

11-02-2008, 03:35 PM
I have never fallen asleep on a ride but I have gone on TTA or SSE when I need to cool down or rest my eyes.
Another place that hasn't been mentioned is at CS at Rafiki's. The area where you can listen to the rainforest, is dark and cool. A light goes on to tell others not to bother you. I have gone in there to take a much needed break.

11-03-2008, 08:10 PM
I can be an equal opportunity napper. Anywhere that it is cool and dark inside and hot and humid outside I'm out.

11-05-2008, 12:01 PM
The American Adventure! Everytime I go, I fall asleep in there. DOn't get me wrong, I LOVE the show, it's just cool and dark and knocks me out!

ALso, HOP, TTA and Ellen.

22 more days:cloud9:

11-05-2008, 12:58 PM
TTA for me and the COP for my bf. :rub:

11-07-2008, 08:04 AM
For me it has to be "It's a small world". Went on it twice this year and dropped off both times !

Also dozed off for a while in "Shrek".

11-07-2008, 12:58 PM
My husband loves to snooze through Ellen's Energy Adventure, and The American Adventure!

11-07-2008, 01:39 PM
I've actually fallen asleep in Hall Of Presidents...and the American Adventure at Epcot :)

Brer Rabbitt
11-07-2008, 04:55 PM
From trips when I was younger and even recently, I can remember using SSE and Universe of Energy as my nap time. Air conditioning, the dark, and a calm lulling motion of a slow moving car = :sleepin: That's usually if I'm really exhausted though, because SSE is one of my favorites!

11-07-2008, 06:49 PM
believe it or not. on our last trip no matter what time of day it was before we could get off of haunted mansion dd would be out. i enjoy it way too much to snooze through it but for an 18 month old it was the perfect napping ride.

11-07-2008, 07:22 PM
What?? Nap at Disney World...:noway::nono::funny:

11-07-2008, 08:24 PM
Sounds Dangerous!! :ack:
