Which ride or attraction is the best for napping?

My vote would be Spaceship Earth. Though It was much better before they put the screens in each car.

I prefer the 'attraction' of taking an afternoon break and napping in a chair by the pool. At the parks, I like to enjoy the attractions.

As much as I love CoP...its one of my favorite rides. I sometimes catch myself dozing off...when I am fully akwake though, I am wide awake for the whole show.

I have also dozed off on SSE a couple of times..but most of the time I love staying awake for the whole ride bc I love trying to look at every little detail to each scene.

The best ride for napping would have to be the TTA. Its a nice, long, smooth ride and you have leg room to just stretch out and relax.

This is not really a ride for napping on but a funny story about napping:

In 2003, my parents wanted to take their darling grand-daughter (our niece) to WDW and we accompanied them. We were watching the "Voyage of the Little Mermaid" and my father, in his 70s and not really interested in the show, took the opportunity for a nap. He was happily snoozing away, :sleepin:, but awoke suddenly when some water dripped on him! :D

There are 3 guaranteed snoozers for me:
1. Hall of Presidents
2. American Adventure
3. Carousel of Progress
Since we often go to Disney during the Summer months, all of these attractions are a great place to cool off and get a quick nap.

I'd like to add "Sounds Dangerous"

Carousel of Progress puts me to sleep every time. The DD and DW get extremely upset with me because they are looking for hidden Mickey's throughout the whole ride...the only hidden Mickey's I see are on the insides of my eyelids. :D

Since I'm often in the park all day long, leaving Disney means a 70 mile trip to my home. So we've got our favorite places to catnap in each park:
Epcot:
France, the movie (we've even had cast members say 'enjoy your nap')
Universe of energy - long, dark & cool
Cartoon movie in the Land about recycling - snooze city, sorry Timone & Pumba
Magic Kingdom:
Hall of President
Carousel of Progress
Disney Hollywood Studios:
Sounds Dangerous - dark, air conditioned, and quiet too w/o the headphones!
Animal Kingdom
a bench in the shade is as good as it gets here unfortunately.

Hands down for me it's Ellen's Energy Adventure.

I've copped some quality nap time on that ride, as a few of my fellow INTERCOTees can attest. ;)

I can't believe that no one has mentioned it yet. The absolute best place to catch a nap is on the bus. It is all I can do to stay awake.

For DSs, it is the monorail to EPCOT. Hop on that baby for a couple round trips and they are ready to go again.

For me, it would probably be "Welcome to the Hall of..." :sleepin:

Yep it's Ellen's Energy Adventure in Epcot. If your hot and need a rest this is the place to do it! I nap there every time and it's a long ride.

Hall of President's always seems to put me sleep, as does Sounds Dangerous!
On our last trip, we actually rode the monorail from TTC to Epcot twice without getting off in the middle of the afternoon to catch a nap. It was nice.

OK, this is hysterical! We caught my DB snoozing during "Lights Motors Action" attraction! We give him so much grief over this! He could sleep through anything! Obviously! Such a loud & busy attraction & we look over & he's catchin some zzz's! :haha:

TTA

On a recent trip, it was hot and sticky and I had cranky (almost age 2) twins. We hopped on the TTA, enjoyed the breeze and they were asleep by the end. The CMs were great about letting me circle round and round. We rode for a good half hour before I finally had to get up and move for fear of my entire lower half going to sleep from sitting and holding them both for so long on a hard seat. Not that it isn't a great ride, we love it and the seats are fairly nice for hard...just juggling two dead-weight little ones was rough.

I would have dozed as well, but I was afraid I would drop a kid :D

Tomorrow Transit Authority is my favorite place to relax at the parks; even in the hot summer there is always a breeze blowing when traveling outside and a big part of the ride is indoors (air conditioning) as well! There is normally NO WAIT and it is great for everyone to get a car by themselves! I love sitting back and propping my "tired feet" up in the seat in front of me!

TTA in MK, SpaceShip Earth in Epcot, as well as Ellen's Energy Adventure, if I'm really tired, I will catch a few winks @ Muppet Vision 3-D in HS, but I have to be really tired b/c I love the Muppets.

I love the film Impressions de France, but how can you NOT fall asleep there?! It's cool, dark, and that music is like a sweet, sweet lullabye. I've never made it entirely through that one.

American Adventure and Hall of Presidents do me in, too.

My husband likes to nap in the Tiki room, but since it's under new management, his nap time is a lot shorter than before. I, once in awhile, look for an out-of-the-way bench and try to get 40 winks in. I use my husband's leg as a pillow:cloud9:

Definitely TTA. TTA is a great attraction where you can take a nice soothing nap. The voices and spiels are very calming, you can easily fall asleep. Not only is it a nap time ride, but a informational and fun ride too.

I have never fallen asleep on a ride but I have gone on TTA or SSE when I need to cool down or rest my eyes.
Another place that hasn't been mentioned is at CS at Rafiki's. The area where you can listen to the rainforest, is dark and cool. A light goes on to tell others not to bother you. I have gone in there to take a much needed break.

From trips when I was younger and even recently, I can remember using SSE and Universe of Energy as my nap time. Air conditioning, the dark, and a calm lulling motion of a slow moving car = :sleepin: That's usually if I'm really exhausted though, because SSE is one of my favorites!
