Oct. 24, 1910 – Publisher and Disney Legend Poul Brahe Pederson was born in Heidelberg, Germany. In 1954, he would join Disney licensee Gutenberghus Publishing (today called Egmont Group) in Copenhagen as its managing director of weekly publications.
Oct. 24, 1929 – Disney’ s Silly Symphony cartoon “Spring Time” was released.
Oct. 24, 1940 – Disney’s “Pinocchio” was released in Australia.
Oct. 24, 1941 – Disney’s Donald Duck cartoon “Donald’s Camera” was released.
Oct. 24, 1947 – Walt Disney headed a list of “friendly” witnesses testifying to the first House Un-American Activities Committee investigation on Communist subversion in Hollywood.
Oct. 24, 1947 – Actor Kevin Kline, the voice of Captain Phoebus in Disney’s 1996 release of “The Hunchback of Notre Dame,” was born in St. Louis, Missouri.
Oct. 24, 1955 – The Mickey Mouse Club aired the episode “Today is Fun With Music Day” on ABC-TV.
Oct. 24, 1956 – The Disney People and Places Featurette “Behind the Cameras in Lapland/Alaskan Eskimo” was released.
Oct. 24, 1957 – Disney’s 3rd Zorro episode “Zorro Rides to the Mission” aired on ABC-TV.
Oct. 24, 1958 – The Walt Disney Presents TV show aired “Rusty and the Falcon.”
