View Full Version : Best place for a late night dinner in DTD?

We are flying into Orlando at 9:30 PM on a Thursday night and are considering a late-night dinner at DTD. Our internal clocks will be one hour behind, so it won't seem quite so late to us but we will likely be hungry! There are 4 of us: Mom, Dad, DS17 and DD12. Neither kid is a picky eater. Any suggestions?

Portabello Yacht Club has amazing food - but the entrees can be pricy. My wife and I always split some appetizers (especially late at night).

Planet Hollywood is a good place for late night sandwiches, burgers, etc. I think they are open to 1AM. DS16 and DS13 like it there.

Wolfgang Puck is EXCELLENT! I'm not sure what time they're open until, but we think it's the best restaurant at DTD. Check out their menu...

I really like House of Blues. Yummy food! I have always had great service. Sometimes they have live music in the restaurant.

Planet Hollywood would be a good choice considering the ages of your children. The atmosphere is very unique, and they show music videos on a jumbo screen. If a quiet dinner is what you are wanting though, this is not the place for you.

Also, the food has always been wonderful.

Have fun!

1) By the time you gt to WDW and check-in, it could be 11:00pm.
2) By the time you get to DTD, it could be 11:30pm.
3) Plan upon Planet Hollywood.
4) Or, order pizza or Chinese delivery from outside companies.

Thanks for all the great suggestions. I know the timing might be bad, although since we're not checking any luggage and renting a car that is already pre-paid (we just walk onto the lot, pick one out and drive away) we're hoping we could be at DTD by 10:30 Florida time which would be 9:30 Iowa time. Still late, but not too late to enjoy some good food. I like the appetizer idea. We frequently do that anyway and it's a good way to get the right amount of food and try a little of everything. I guess we'll have to see what's open and how the crowds are looking. Just 6 more days until our first-ever Food and Wine Festival trip!! :yay:

My wife and I had a great dinner at Raglan Road for our first wedding anniversary this past Monday.
We had a couple of drinks at the bar and thn had a great mel. I had the Guinness meatballs and Allison had the bangers and mash.

The scallop forest was a great appetizer and the bread pudding was outstanding.

We had a great waiter (ask for Justin) and we loved everything about the restaurant. I was able to order flowers (on the restaurant's website) and have them waiting for us at the table and my wife loved that. She brought the flowers home on the plane.

Raglan Road!!!

Get the fish and chips and the scallop forest. One serving of each is more than enough for two adults. (They have a limited menu in the late evening, but those two items are on it, and they are delicious!!)
