Events affecting value resorts

We are thinking about a trip between Nov 30 and Dec 5, 2008. Are there any events going on that would affect the value resorts? I saw that Pop Warner will begin Dec 6. I am assuming they will start checking in Dec 5, but please correct me if I am wrong. We would be staying at either Music or Sports. Thanks in advance for any advice.

Pop warner is there and the area you'll be in will be crowded with a lot of kids. Also the first weekend in Dec is the taping of the Christmas parade in MK on fri, sat and sun. there's usually a lot of people standing around watching the taping in the front of the park, but usually farther back it's ok
