We'll be arriving on Christmas Day in the late afternoon and we'd like to spend a little time in MK. How often does MK close down on Christmas Day due to crowd levels? If they close the park, does it make a difference if you're staying on property or are a season pass holder?

MK usually reaches capacity on Christmas Day. Capacity is capacity, regardless of if you stay on property or not. Being on property guarantees you admission to A park, but not a specific park. So, don't count on being able to get into MK on Christmas afternoon, but be pleasantly surprised if it is possible.

The following was posted in this thread (http://www.intercot.com/discussion/showthread.php?t=101018) by Faline.

Parks close in the following stages.
1. Anyone who doesn't have a ticket will not be allowed past the parking booth.
2. Only resort guests, annual passholders and park-hoppers (from another park) as well as those using resort transportation or taxi transportation are allowed in.
3. Only resort guests using Disney transportation, annual passholders, Shades of Green guests and Downtown Disney resort guests using provided transportation are admitted.
4. Park is closed to everyone.

One park reaching capacity does not mean that all 4 have reached capacity and it might be possible to go to one of the other parks.
