Oct. 19, 1880 – Scotty Mattraw, the voice of Bashful from Disney’s “Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs,” was born in Evans Mills, N.Y.
Oct. 19, 1952 – “Trick or Treat,” a Disney short featuring Donald Duck & his nephews, and directed by Jack Hannah, was released.
Oct. 19, 1955 - The Disneyland TV series aired “The Story of the Silly Symphonies.”
Oct. 19, 1955 – The Mickey Mouse Club aired “Today is Anything Can Happen Day” on ABC-TV.
Oct. 19, 1975 – The Disney TV show aired “Seems There Was This Moose.”
Oct. 19, 1989 - Wonders of Life Pavillion presented by Metropolitan Life Ins. Co. opened with: Body Wars; Cranium Command; Goofy About Health; AnaComical Players; Met Lifestyle Revue; Coach’s Corner; Frontiers of Medicine; Sensory Funhouse, Wonder Cycles; Pure & Simple; and Wells & Goods Limited.
Oct. 19, 1995 – “The Illusion of Life: Disney Animation” by veteran animators Frank Thomas and Ollie Johnston (two of Walt’s Nine Old Men) was published by Disney Editions.
Oct. 19, 1996 – The Walt Disney World Resort and ABC presented “ABC Super Soap Weekend” at Disney-MGM Studios.
Oct. 19, 1999 – Disney’s stage show “The Lion King” opened at the Lyceum Theatre in London, England.
Oct. 19, 1999 – The Disney CD “For Our Children” was released. (It was a charity album to benefit the Pediatric AIDS Foundation.
