I have planed a what I think will be a great evening for my wife and want to know if this restaurant is really as great as the reviews say.

First, my wonderful Wife dose not read the boards so I have no problem spilling the beans on my secret but have a choice to make.

I have planned out our whole week of ADR's in December and decided at the last minuet and was able to book a privet wishes cruise to see the fireworks from the Seven Seas Lagoon. This being our anniversary I thought I would ask her to "renew my contract " with new ring and all in front of the castle but being able to get the cruise I plan to do it instead on the boat with the fireworks in the background. :boat:

Well.... The CM talked me into having dinner at Citricos and I will admit the timing from dinner to the boat works out perfect but I am not really sure if she would like a really fancy dinner at disney.

I can have the boat pick us up at any of the lagoon resorts so getting from dinner to the dock will not be an issue.

Here is my dilemma

My choice is between Ohana (we like a lot ) and Citricos (never been) as I now have ADR's at both for the same time.

I would love to here what you all think about what I sould do...

Citrico's is a very nice restaurant. However, if you feel O'Hana's would be a better fit for you and your wife, I'd go with that.

First of all, :congrats: How romantic it will be for the two of you!!!! The cruise sounds WONDERFUL!!! And renewing your vows is so exciting. As for your choice of dinner, I would go to Ohanas. You both love it. And Dh and myself think it's an amazing place to eat at. We'll be eating there in a few weeks on our belated anniversary trip. Our anniv. happens to be on Saturday 10/18th ( 11 years ) How time goes by.... Anyway, your special night sounds great !! She will love every minute of it. It doesn't matter where you are together to eat, you'll enjoy every minute of it because you are with the one you love. Here's a little pixie dust from Tink herself.:tink:

Next trip: 11/24th thru 12/5th @ the POP

Ohanas is a great place to eat and a fun atmosphere, but Citricos would undoubtedly be much more grown -up, special & romantic.
I applauds your efforts! I think Citricos would be more fitting for the special nature of your evening.
Congratulations, I hope everything goes exceptionally well!

This is a special occasion, and Citricos is a special restaurant with excellent food, service, and atmosphere. On this romantic night, leave the coconut races behind and experience the casual elegance of Citricos, new American cuisine with a distinct Tuscan flair.

It depends if its a surprise- going to Ohanahs might keep the surprise
If you go to Citricos- she might figure it out-

Both are great- so you cant lose

Do not tell her about either choice. Tell her that you want to make the entire evening a big surprise and that you want to handle all of the details. That way you can go to Citrico's without her figuring it all out and still do the renewal of vows as well. We love Ohana's but it would be nice to choose something out of the ordinary for the occasion. We have our 15th Anniversary in May and I have to start planning something special as well.

First thanks to everyone for their comments.

I decided to go to Citricos for dinner and have been telling my Wife how wonderful the fireworks can be seen from the Grand Floridian dock. She loves fireworks and would want to jump on the monorail to see them from the Magic Kingdom.

This weekend I bought a ring and have everything set for the cruise.
All that's left is to get down to Disney and keep this a secret. :secret:

Wish me luck and thanks again!

WOW!!! what a week!!!! :mickey:
Thanks for all your comments.. here is how it all went down...

Yes my Wife has "renewed" my contract for at least a few more years. We had a great time meeting and playing in the parks with our new Mousefest friends. and thanks to the few of you who I met and new my Intercot name for not spoiling the surprise.

Every thing fell into place and I was even able to add to the whole package and book an ADR at Cinderella's Table.

The week started with a surprise upgrade as we entered the GF we were met out front by a CM telling us we were upgraded to concierge level and escorted to the room without having to check in. I canceled all my breakfast ADR's. In the room the first night was a bottle of champagne and a autographed photo of Belle and the Beast. (Her Favorite Princess)

Well This is our last night and we finished with a reserved seat at the Candlelight Processional. Back to New York and the upcoming snow.

I would rather be surrounded by the Magic Kingdom snow any day.

Thanks again to everyone!
