Calling Dining from Pay Phones

I thought I remembered that you can access Disney DIning reservations from any pay phone in the parks by dialing *, then some single digit. Does anyone know anything about this? I never carry my cell phone to the parks. So how could I make an ADR from the parks?

You can go to City Hall and use the phone there. When I read the topic my first thought was are there pay phones any where any more?? Outside of the magical world a pay phone is rare to come by!

I believe you can go to the podium at any TS restaurant and make an ADR for another restaurant. I might be wrong though...

Advanced Dining Reservations can be made before your visit by calling 407-WDW-DINE Or you can make them once you are in the world by pressing *88 at any Disney payphone or *55 from your hotel room (as long as it's a Disney resort).
