Just wanted to be sure I remember correctly as I am helping a friend plan her WDW trip. Buses from Downtown Disney do NOT go directly to any of the parks, correct? Don't you have to get off at a resort and then transfer to a park bus or monorail?

what i did was take a quick walk over to saratoga springs resort right next door to downtown disney and hopped on a bus there. the resort is beautiful so the walk was nice, plus there are maps along the path and at the resort so the bus stop is easy to find.

If you're going to Epcot, you can take the Y&BC bus, and go in the IG.

Yes, Disney doesn't want everyone parking at DD and hopping a bus to the parks. It wouldn't be fair to the vendors, and the park would be out $7 - 8.:(

But when you get to the resort, before getting off ask the driver where the bus is going next. Usually (during the day) it will be continuing on to either DHS or DAK.

BTW, the driver may not know where the bus is going until it reaches the resort and the on-board computer displays the next destination.

Yes, the parkings lots at Downtown Disney are for folks that are actually visiting Downtown Disney and were never intended for use by those going to the parks. Therefore the buses do not run directly between the two. Of course, if the OP's friend is staying at a Downtown Disney resort, there is bus service from the resorts that runs directly to each park.

$12 now, as of yesterday when I went through. Thankfully, I get free parking anyways.

Ah, how I love my yellow ID.

Not from DTD.

oh..well just take the boat across to Saratoga and then go to any park you want...5-10 extra minute boat ride.

True ... although the boat runs only twice an hour during the day. But yes, there's always a way to get where you're going.
