I was listening to Live365 today and Sonny Eclipse was on. Who is he?

He is the animatronic entertainer at Cosmic Rays in Tomorrowland -- on a personal note I preferred Michael Iceberg.

Thanks
Scott C

he performed live in the same location in the seventies. Amazing synthesizer work. I still remember him 30 years later. I understand he is still around -- you might do an online search.

Thanks

Sonny Eclipse is out of this world for a lounge lizard entertainer.

Cosmic Rays is always a must do for us! We enjoy the variety of foods available in the various areas of the food court, the wraps are my fav, and watching Sonny is always fun! :number1:

1) Sonny Eclipse is the performer at Cosmic Ray's Starlight Café.
2) He does singing, keyboards and jokes.
3) A lively entertainer during your meal.
4) I am not so sure he/she/it is an animatronic.

NOTE: When you visit him, make certain you notice the backup singers. He is particularly proud of the invisible group, The Space Angels.

Its funny...whe I saw the name Sonny Eclipse (isn't it Sunny Eclipse?) I had a "Where have I heard that name before?" moment. When Scott C replied it hit me....along with a whole thread of memories of eating there back in 2001.
Lets see if she gets the same response... :)

We saw Sonny perform for the first time on our last trip and from that point on Cosmic Ray's was on our must-do list. We loved the food choices and the show made it a nice, entertaining meal for a CS credit! Of course, anyone who knows me will also tell you that I can get a thrill out of seeing a car go by (exagerration no matter what my sis says!) so others may not be as thrilled but Beka and I loved it! :mickey:

Sorry for the hijack of the thread

I loved Michael Iceberg. I was probably 8 or 9 when I first saw him. I cannot remember the date I was only a peewee back then. I do remember the fog and lights flashing as he rose up to the stage in his mirrored synthesizer set. I think we watched him 3-4 time that first trip.

Yuo can see him on YouTube and other sites.

We all love Sonny Eclipse...and we always see his show at least once whilst at WDW. We personally find it one of the most romantic eateries at the World...

I believe the AA Sony Eclipse can be lowered down into the Utilidor area...or at least I remember a rock group coming up an elevator type lift on that stage back in the 70's...does anyone know if that lift is still used?
