Booking Cash Rooms w/DVC Discount?

Okay ... I realize I should know this already, but I'm not 100% sure ...

I need to book a couple nights' stay for cash for our upcoming trip and I'm not sure how it works.

Do I just call DVC Member Services to book? And what's the discount? 30% off rack?

You can book a DVC room using cash by calling Member Services.

There may or may not be a 25% discount, depending upon DVC's forecast of how booked the resort will be.

No, the DVC discount only applies to DVC Studios and Villas, and not any regular hotel room.

We've booked cash discounted rooms and AP rate rooms at different times. Be sure to check both (assuming you have an AP). If you're staying at a place like the BW, you can snag a room with an AP rate or the DVC cash discount.

It pays to shop. AP rates available at most/all resorts during promotional times; DVC cash rates available at DVC resorts only.
